I wonder what all those poor children from Texas who visit this monument think? A whole president they've never learned about in their state approved text books.

I was asked by several tourists to take their pictures with their cameras today. So I thought to myself " Hey, I'm a tourist too ! Why don't I ask one of them to take my pic"

When the photographers outnumber the flowering trees.

By April 15, the famous Yoshino cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin have dropped most of their petals and are starting to become covered with green leaves. A few other varieties of cherry blossoms, such as the Kwanzan, are just starting to bloom nearby.
