I woke up at dawn yesterday to shoot the cherry blossoms around the tidal basin. For the first time in a long time they all were white! After shooting for about 30 minutes I was heading back to the car and saw this amazing magnolia tree ignited by the sunrise. I love these trees far better than the cherry blossoms, and they never seem to last quite as long.
I'm glad I got a few good shots before all the petals fall in the next week.
