Preserved former London Transport Executive M5 THX 105S, a Metropolitan-Cammell-Weymann Metrobus DR101/3 with a H43/28D body built 1978 turns from Wards End in Halifax onto Horton Street with the 13:00 Halifax (Market Street (14)) to Halifax (Wards End (29)) via Claremont 34 service during the Pennines BusDay heritage bus running day event. Sunday 3rd August 2025

 

Note, THX 105S was first registered on 20th July 1978 and originally operated by the London Transport Executive as a 1M1 class vehicle with the fleet number M5. Control of public transport in Greater London passed to London Regional Transport on 29th June 1984 and bus operations passed to London Buses Limited on 29th March 1985 in preparation for bus deregulation. London Buses Limited was divided into twelve business units on 1st April 1989 due to bus deregulation, THX 105S being transferred to Metroline Travel Limited as number M5. THX 105S withdrawn from service in February 2000 but retained as a training vehicle. It was acquired by the Ensign Bus Company Limited (a Purfleet based dealer) in June 2002 and acquired by Higham based operator Red Route in August 2002. THX 105S was withdrawn from service in March 2009 and passed into preservation in August 2010

 

THX 105S was one of two vehicles working the 13:00 Halifax (Market Street (14)) to Halifax (Wards End (29)) via Claremont 34 service along with LK05 GGP
