I arrived at Thun lake in high fog.. you could see no mountains behind the lake nothing but mist.. but the light shone through.. and creative a lovely mystical quality..so it wasn't a wasted journey..
I took this photo with Kodachrome film, then digitized it in 2022. This a view of the shores of Lake Thun (Switzerland), from a small village called ''Gunten''
This artwork is a tribute to Johannes Brahms who loved to stay in this heavenly place. He appreciated the tranquility and silence that allowed him to live alone without being disturbed too much.
Sonata No. 2 in A major is one of the first works that Brahms composed in Thun in the summer of 1886. It is also known as ''the Thuner Sonata''.
Thun Castle - The 12th century Zähringer castle stands high above the town of Thun.
Thun Castle was built between 1180 and 1190 by the dukes of Zähringen and stands on the hill of the town. The Castle overlooks the whole of the town of Thun and the panoramic views of the Bernese Alps and Lake Thun are quite unique.

Once the Overlords’ Guildhall, it was rebuilt on its old foundations by foremen Conrad Storp and Vinc enz Burckhardt in 1749.
Thun is a small and beautiful city located on the edge of the lake of the same name.
Little known, it is not an especially tourist destination, so there are no crowds or masses of tourists wandering through its streets. Its most outstanding building is its 12th century castle.
It would have been a nice picture with many colors and detail, but decided to give a new approach with a special edition in black and white, cleaning it of unnecessary roughness and leaving the image highlights.
The castle in the background makes it recognizable in any type of edition.
It is very possible that it goes unnoticed, but it is that I like it and I think that this should be enough.
I think it was one of the last times I used my Canon Eos 1Ds on a trip, because I find it too heavy to walk with it. Camera and lens weigh more than 3 Kg.
If you enlarge it, you will see it much better.
