Maj 2015 roku - we flocie Aer Lingus☘️ pojawia się pierwsze malowanie specjalne Irish Rugby Team na samolocie noszącym znaki 🇮🇪EI-DEO, w październiku do floty przewoźnika dołącza druga maszyna w analogicznych barwach o znakach 🇮🇪EI-DEI.
O ile -DEI została już pozbawiona wizerunków graczy o tyle -DEO lata w niezmienionej formie, w minioną sobotę o poranku odwiedził berlińskie lotnisko imienia Willego Brandta.

USAF Boeing 757 landing at Hamburg EDDH to bring US Foreign Secretary John Kerry to the OSCE Foreign Minister Conference. The pilots made generous use of the thrust reverse on the two Pratt & Whitney PW2000 turbofan engines, kicking up lots of spray off the wet runway. This engine is quite rare on European 757s, but it is used on the USAF ones since it is shared with the C-17.

The third prototype A350-1000 (MSN 65) landing in Hamburg for full cabin tests. The Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 high-bypass turbofan engines are deploying the thrust reversers to slow down. Red navigation beacon.
Differences over the A350-900 include:
- longer fuselage (from 66.8m to 73.78m)
- more passenger capacity (from 325 to 366 for typical layout)
- increased MTOW (from 280t to 308t)
- more powerful Rolls-Royce Trent engines (XWB-97 with 97.000 lbf compared to XWB-84 with 84.000 lbf)
- three axle main gear bogie with six wheels compared to two axles and four wheels
- slightly increased wing area (cca 4%)
- vortex generators on both inboard and outboard engine cowling sides to maintain take-off and landing performance

Using reverse thrust to slow down after touching down and kicking up some water from the wet runway. Note that only the inboard engines (No 2 and 3) have thrust reversers. This decision is motivated by several facts:
- 2 of the 4 high-bypass ratio engines generate sufficient braking force
- On most runways the outboard engines (1 and 4) are over the edges and would kick up too much dust, rocks, grass (FOD in one word) that could damage the engines and the aircraft
- Each reverser unit has a certain weight and imposes loads on the wings. By omitting two of these units, significant weight savings could be achieved
