Schleudern der Wurfleine.
Die Wurfleine wird noch während des Anlegemanövers auf den Pier geschleudert. Mit Hilfe dieser Leine wird dann die erste Trosse zum Festmachen an Land gezogen.
During the docking maneuver the heaving line is thrown to the pier. The heaving line is used to pull the first cable to the pier.
Bowline on a bite, double overhand (safety), 3/8 quicklink, throwline pull-down.
While the quicklink functions well, the William ball-lock proves to be more efficient.

A damp morning on the River Dart at Buckfastleigh in Devon, and a team of swift water rescue specialists take an intake of Dartmoor Rescue trainees at Ashburton through their paces to achieve the Level 2 standard to make sure they can keep themselves safe when working close to water courses. Bank side cover is provided during the exercise with members who are already Level 2 qualified, ready to deploy throwlines should the need arise. The exercise was a great success and members retired to the Dartmoor Lodge at Peartree Cross to warm up with a pint and a pile of cheesy chips.

The pipe prusik is tied to a small carabiner and clipped in to the saddle. After the rope is tied in to a throwline and pulled over a branch the prusik is taken off the pipe and the cambium saver can be moved into position at the new tie-in point .
Exhibition Review - Dusadee Huntrakul:'To Dance Is To Be Everywhere' Chan + Hori Contemporary, Singapore till 8th October 2017.
“A turn of the line, like an asymptote, may approach an indent in time."- Drenched Co.
Notes: "Consider the Neck. A narrow connector whose shape and surface may evoke a season, a landscape or an architectural detail. Think of the Neck, pale, scented, a recipient of a thousand kisses or a long slender snake that may suddenly slither up a wall dragging the whole body. Think of its gestural throwing lines, its dynamic volumes and the way its lies about the backbone. Think of the Neck when looking at Dusadee Huntrakul's art and his interest in meanings transfered through objects, gestures and forms. In this exhibition, the Neck is the creamy beacon that invites contemplation through the ages, an albatross full of metaphors slung around it, clinging on to an unwritten head and a trace of meaningness. Dusadee once made a film titled 'My Armpit's my Beer', but I am convinced he is a neck man. Fabulous " - Raj

A two-wrap prusik will not let go of the pipe cambium saver. The other end of the main climbing rope is pre-threaded through the pipe and secured with an overhand on a bight. A throwline to advance the rope can be tied above the overhand knot while the rope is still hanging in the pipe.
Our 15M kayak throwline has everything you need. The easily stuffable pouch bag has a reflective strip to make it more visible in torchlight. The strong , floating line, is just the right weight to give you strength without too much bulk and the removeable waist belt means its always to hand when you need it.

Slip knot safety is backed with Wichard snap release. To release the redirect anchor the climber pulls the throw line tether (1) then continues pulling which releases the slip knot (2). The redirect anchor is a cinching knot, if tied and set properly will not release accidentally. If the climber accidentally triggers the snap release the anchor remains secure. The snap release provides a two stage release process to further protect the climber. The throwline release tether should not be attached to the climber, best strategy is to hang it so it will be within convenient reach when the climber is ready to take out the the redirect.
