Through the generosity of the webmaster of Evergreenfleet.com (who graciously provided more than a half dozen photos of the Kalakala's main engine room), I have now been able to complete *most* of the Kalakala's main engine room details.
There are still some incomplete areas. These incomplete areas are due to a lack of available views into a certain area and a lack of research material available. For instance, in the first rendering there are large copper pipes leading up to a series of large electric pump motors from under the engine room floor.
Since the last upload, I examined some of those photos and determined there were two large tanks there, with a central Y valve leading off of the main piping assembly from both tanks.
I've modeled this area as accurate as possible given technical research limitations.

Selenite crystals like this are quite common in these hills. usually they are surrounded by coal deposits.
Taken at sunrise in the old graveyard in Ayot St Peter, Hertfordshire.
There is no sign of the original church building but the place is scattered with
small tombs and headstones which are now overgrown with nettles and weeds.
Day 31 - Summer Project
You say, "Are these my eyes?"
You said, "Come on, now. I already lost my sense to feel."
But there's always someone out there who will listen,
And then there's nothing but a dream.

Expedition Everest
After passing through the entrance, explorers pass through an old tea warehouse that houses an elaborate museum run by Professor Pumba Dorjay, a conservation biologist who believes the yeti's existence is grounded in fact. The richly designed yeti museum showcases artifacts reflecting Nepalese culture, plus a history of the Himalayas and tales of the yeti. Photos show Sherpas and others who have conquered the summit.
Now equipped to conquer the mountain, trekkers board the Anandapur Rail Service. This aging 34-passenger industrial railway, which was once used to transport tea, is now destined for the foot of Mount Everest.
As the steam train rolls through thick bamboo forests and fern groves up the first hill through a fortress, ritualized music signals riders to dangers ahead. En route, a cluster of sacred yeti totems and a massive yeti mural crafted on the rockwork gives further warning to turn back.
The train continues across a teetering bridge into the mountain, dives into shimmering glacier valleys and then climbs up through the snow-capped peaks.
Skulking silhouettes and shadows of the lurking yeti, coupled with startling special effects and climate variations, enhance the attraction as the steam train darts in and out of the picturesque mountain range.
But suddenly the train screeches to a halt near a gnarled mass of twisted metal. In a fit of rage, the yeti has torn apart the track. The thrills intensify as the runaway train moves both forward and backward through darkened mountain caverns and icy canyons and guests head for an inevitable face-to-muzzle showdown with the towering yeti -- known to some as the abominable snowman.
The train accelerates into a fog of spiral curves taking mountaineers down an 80-foot plummet to escape the wrath of the powerful yeti."

Late-autumn sunset through plentiful high clouds. These clouds appeared to be coming up from the south or so. Temps were a bit on the cool side this afternoon with afternoon highs reaching again into the lower 60's. There were no frost/freeze advisories. Pic taken from around San Jose, CA. We were having the church worship team come over for an early Christmas party get-together this early evening at the house. Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Here's to my finals week... CP SD40-2F 9012 leads a grain train through the fog at Moosomin Sk. I skipped school till the was train to photograph in the fog so it was worth it.
This 'hole' in the wall of the front lounge peeps through to the family & dining areas, leading to the doorway of the gamesroom, through to the outdoors via the windows.
The roof has been covered so the sun shines through doorless doorways & windowless windows instead.
We are still patiently awaiting a plasterer!
The Trans Pennine Express train from Manchester Airport to Cleethorpes via Sheffield pushes through Hope valley. I really like this region a lot and always enjoy being there. On that day, I even drove and went up on the Mam-Tor mountain.

Having messed up the crucial part of my last attempt here, I returned to try again.
Unfortunately, the offending roadworks that were forcing buses right off the road had been removed.
Still - this is Rydens Way after all, so it's not like there won't be any other problems! I'm sure there can't be many roads in the country that buses serve, that if a normal sized car parks up against the kerb, the bus cannot physically get past and has to mount the pavement or verge. However, Rydens Way is one of them. Technically (unless you've got a small car) just parking you car outside your house is causing an obstruction, and therefore illegal parking!
Here, the driver of 1508 (YN03 NCF) on the 462 is skillfully in stage 1 of passing these parked cars, going onto the verge to get round the Ford. Not as simple as just going up on the mud though, as there's a huge, nasty bit of concrete to the lower left of the photo, that would crunch the vehicle if it tried to go over it. So, once past the Ford, it had to come back off the verge, and inch between the concrete and the car I was standing in front of, which fortunately was a small car.
Not ideal at all - I don't think when these houses and roads were built they'd planned for everyone to have cars!!
Incidentally, there's more to the tale - as Solo 1511 was running the service in the other direction. Buses towards Guildford are on diversion to serve the south side of the green here too, usually they'd go straight to the north side. After dealing with the concrete, he went up on the mud to get past the Ford - but as he picked up speed, the bus slipped on some ice and quite violently swerved. Luckily, the driver did an impressive recovery and nothing bad happened.
