well, this set of tins is not a very good but reasonable bargain, I love the flower pattern, and colors combination so much!

The best is that little tin shelf comes with the set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A wonderful display of Thrift seen on the coastal footpath at Admore in County Waterford, Ireland, on 27th May 2018.

Thanks for your visit… Any comment you make on my photograph is greatly appreciated and encouraging! But please do not use this image without permission.

Everything but the white purse are from the estate sale, I got the white purse thrifting (you can hardly tell but the white purse has green, yellow, pink, white, and blue dots on it).

Im pretty sure the black embroidered bag is from the 40's, and the flower white necklace is made of bone which is a tad creepy but neat at the same time.

An exciting find at the Salvation Army Thrift Store this week for $3.50.

Monster High chair, lunch room table, setee

LOL guitar (I think)

I'll repaint the chair and settee and leave the table and guitar as they are. The Monster High furniture has nice creepy details on them that show up better when painted and aged.

Here's a new plant in the garden - fingers crossed it lasts! It's Sea thrift aka Armeria Maritime and it looks nice and perky in its deep blue pot! One of our pierises is in the background.

Armeria maritima, the thrift, sea thrift or sea pink, is a species of flowering plant in the family Plumbaginaceae. It is a compact evergreen perennial which grows in low clumps and sends up long stems that support globes of bright pink flowers.

I have so many other Barbies (too many, hehe), but for some reason I have been playing with this thrift store Tris, a lot lately. At least this time she invited some friends to come along, lol.

Great garden with a view out to sea. Very local to me, 10 minute walk from my door. Thanks to Andrew, one of contacts for spotting this little treasure of a local location.

If you read my descriptions, you will know I buy almost everything (except food!) from charity shops/thrift stores.

How are they stocked? Partly by donations from people who have finished with an object, and sometimes by relatives clearing the house of a recently-departed relative.

I lost a shirt button the other day and was looking for some replacements. And then I came across this! It reminded me of an aunt I had who scrupulously removed buttons from anything beyond repair, before turning that into rags. This jar was probably filled with care by someone's nana. Every button would have come from a piece of clothing that itself held memories of her children and other members of the family - going to school; a summer picnic; a first communion; and who knows what else.

I have a feeling that it will be a long time before I open this jar.

Most Minnesota fall seasons end with a paroxysm of colors that sing sweet music to the soul. Following that tribute to the Creator of Color, the colors fade quickly into thrift store quality and are followed by a dull whiteness that threatens to last forever.

Elderly handmade candle "sticks" :-)

Metal cap inside for the candle.

And the sun was out today.

And I still haven't cleaned my windows...

the hanging water drop in the thrift flower was thawing in the bright sun light but still partially frozen.

A good friend and colleague died at the weekend and it has left me feeling down and unsettled. This photo i took yesterday morning somehow resonated with me this evening.

A few of the lenses I have found at Thrift Stores. Taken with an Olympus OM 50mm 1.8 lens on my Canon 60D camera.

This plant is grown as a ground cover and ornamental in Upstate South Carolina, with the local common name of thrift. It's a perennial. The scientific name is Phlox.

Little flowers, in sunshine, last month, at the edge of a lawn in our town.

I found this beauty in a local thrift shop for only €0.25, together with four other interesting vintage books. The typography and illustrations are often so beautiful!

Sun Thrift was the best thrift store in the area. I used to drop by about once a week.

Bought this hat in a thrift-shop in Liverpool England for £5.

Just saw an interesting array on a shelf in a thrift shop.

There is an unintentional optical effect in the reflection in the upper right, in the middle of the plate.

…always love an evening walk along this coastline when we are at North Cornwall, plenty of Thrift out to add a spot of colour……
