Unfortunately, not my figure. He belongs to my sister. He's a pretty decent figure. Not perfect, but pretty good!
I had his cape on backward, so before I took off it and the armor, I snapped a couple of photos with it on the right way. It does look better and now I know why it kept falling off before.
I've always been more of a fan of the Zords in Power Rangers, probably because from a personality perspective the series only really started giving characters that sort of thing by Time Force, at which time I wasn't really watching that much TV, a trend which continues to this day.
With the demographic of 90s kids finally at a point where they have spending money, the last few years has been swarmed with higher PRICED Power Ranger merchandise, mostly MMPR related because it seems people only want that sort of thing.
I say higher priced, because under normal circumstances that would mean higher quality across the board.. such is not the case with this franchise.
Annoyance aside, let's press on.
ThreeZero did a line of 1/6 figures based on the BOOM! Comic Series, which, lets face it, does it's own thing but ultimately leans heavy on the MMPR universe.
I believe they've done the original six, a Lord Drakkon, as well as a Ranger Slayer, who is the Kimberly Hart of their version of the Darkest Timeline.
According to everything I've read, her figure was a limited edition exclusive of some sort and retailed for like $150 USD. Well, I guess sales either didn't go as well as they liked or ThreeZero made a new batch, because lately she was on clearance at many online stores, even Canadian ones, coming in a slightly less than MSRP even for the original Rangers (of which I tried to preorder Pink on Amazon only to have them bail on me).
So, basing my analysis on the normal price for a figure (around $100 CAD), it's decent. I didn't expect Hot Toys quality, but you do get what you pay for.
There's no stand, and accessories are basic - in this case the Bow of Darkness, a single arrow, and a Dark Blade Blaster. The Blade Blaser does covert from weapon to gun mode, which is nice. The arrow holding hand I didn't really get a feel for - not sure what the trick is.
The suit really is a glorified body sock, basically what Mezco typically does but with better vinyl decals. These decals are thick, which helps with durability but can also impede articulation. The mantle and pauldron are basic hard plastic parts. The belt is also pretty basic, but it does come off and features a working buckle at the back.
Articulation is actually worse than I thought, and it's not just the suit talking. The actual body has really odd limitations (probably budget related) such as no thigh swivel and single jointed elbows. It'll do the job of holding up the suit and basic poses, but this is not the body for you if you're expecting to put the Rangers into their trademark poses. I'd say Ranger Slayer probably has it worse because of the extra decals on her arms and the thighs.
Paint work is pretty basic. The only real actual paint are on the helmet, which is nicely done, the paint apps on the hands, the buckler, her boots, and of course the weaponry. Again, for the MSRP price point it's acceptable but it's not going to win any awards.
Build Quality the figure is, again, adequate given the price point. There was no real feeling of fragility or anything like that, but the wrist joints have this annoying habit of pulling out with the hand.

I fished my ThreeZero Dragon Age Alistair out of storage today (finally), and did a mini-photoshoot of him with my ThreeZero Game of Thrones Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons: Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal. Here, you can see the relative size of the two figures: Alistair is 12" tall (so would be a 6' tall man) and Daenerys is just a little over 10" tall (appropriately, she would be Emilia Clarke's 5'2" height). I also finally coaxed Viserion to perch on an arm. =) In this scale, the dragons remind me of the Firelizards from Anne McCaffrey's novels of the planet Pern.
ThreeZero makes some really nice, detailed figures! I wish they would make more for the Dragon Age world (Dorian... *hint, hint*).
