This is the cleaned-up Z axis wormscrew. The edges are a bit scraped, possibly because a rusty vertical column has meant this thing's had to drag the whole motor+spindle assembly up and down a bit forcefully.

You can see how filthy the grease has become on the Y axis' threaded rod here. This used to be a silver rod, with clear grease on it.
