After two photo shoots I finally got a shot of ed that I like

Thanks to Lenabem-Anna for the texture.

This charming small bridge of Bruges, usually very crowded, cannot be found on Google Maps. It stands at the back of Church of Our Lady. View from a boat trip.

I don't typically ask but I have mixed feelings about how this is coming out, and I'm wondering what you guys think? Maybe I'm just being too critical? I guess it doesn't help that I've never built a character before. Anyway, I really appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

on Ilustrar Portugal I already had published the original version (color) of this photo. I decided to create a B&W version because I wanted to give this photo the "strength" it deserved. it was created yesterday, 14th, a day of "black and white" to me ...

Thoughts of spring are putting a smile on Suri's face. She loves riding her bike on sunny days.

Blythe a Day - Smiley Face - The 70s - 1/13/24

I've got lots of happy memories riding my bike around the neighborhood with friends in the late 1970s. I had a big white basket on my bike (no dog, though). I wore pigtails a lot, had a rainbow shirt, and liked to add a smile to my sun drawings. I decided to use simple construction paper shapes for my background to represent drawings I made as a kid. That idea came from Leslie who makes the best construction paper diorama background and props.

This week The Inner Circle studies photo editing in our choice of program: applying presets, and adjusting sliders in the tool panel.

First a custom crop was applied, adding kk_light lovely from Make Magic Preset Collection, then on to the sliders - adjusting shadows, adding a radial filter over the leaves, warming the temperature a few points, increasing exposure a touch, and finally a custom point curve to add a bit of matte finish to the photo.

When tucking into Christmas Dinner in comfort give a thought to the 3,000,000 Cape Town residents who will be spending Christmas plus the other 364 days of the year in conditions like these.

This is part of the Langa township between Cape Town and its airport. Most shacks have no sanitation - communal facilities are in the bottom left-hand corner of the shot - and electricity supplies are hot-wired from the street lighting.

This is but a small part of South Africa's social problem - there are many more collections of shacks like these in all parts of the country.

This bird suffers from a condition called ‘leucism’, causing the raptor to develop white feathers/plumage instead of the usual red. This bird is apparently thought to be 1 of only 10 in the world.

ROAMING in thought over the Universe, I saw the

little that is Good

steadily hastening towards immortality,

And the vast all that is call'd Evil I saw

hastening to merge itself

and become lost and dead.

Small Happiness - Remedios

The abandoned house shuddered on the hill, wishing the morning light would come all the sooner to warm its weary walls. It felt so alone, so empty. How long had it been since it heard the laughter of a precious child? How long had it been since it felt the coolness of fresh paint or contained the fragrance of Sunday dinner?
