Pultizer Prize winner Sheryl WuDunn spoke about the importance of empowerment of women across the globe at MBUSA in March 2010 after a lunch discussion with members of the MercedesLadies networking group.
I created The GIST (Globalization, Innovation, Society, and Technology) Speaker Series to inspire MBUSA employees in their day-to-day professional decision making through a greater awareness of the issues, leading practices, and trends that are shaping the world in which we work. Since its launch in 2010, some thought leaders who have spoken at The GIST include Pete Blackshaw (Angry Customers Tell 3,000), Eric Sandersen (Manahatta), Scott Berken (Myths of Innovation), Sheryl WuDunn (Half the Sky), Bruce Tulgan (It's Okay to be the Boss), and Nicholas Carr (The Shallows).
