"Thomas Jackson is An Australian artist and illustrator who was born in Bolton, U.K.
Moving to Sydney, Australia as a child, he was instantly drawn to the natural wildlife of this new country. Fascinated by the local animals and landscapes, he drew inspiration from his new home, as well as scientific plant and animal specimens, entomology and taxidermy.’ Today, Thomas puts a modern take on ‘Natural History Illustration’, painstakingly creating smaller scale works for galleries and translating these into large scale public murals."

I thought others might appreciate these tidbits of forgotten history of People of Color.
Please feel free to leave any comments or thoughts or impressions... I look forward to reading them!
I think is the one of the best "Orton" layers shots I've ever done. I hope you guys like it, too!

Mural in Albion Lane, Leichhardt, now gone, by Phibs, Ears, Beastman, Max Berry, Thomas Jackson, Roach, and Numskull. While it was put up with permission, the owner didn't have a Development Application (DA), so the council forced him to remove it due to a single complaint. There's no accounting for taste.
Supposedly taken in Ongerup, Western Australia.

"That Porsche belonged to my father; Thomas Jackson, he modified it to suit the harsh Aussie road conditions, his co driver was David McKay."
427-429 Broadway (Thomas Jackson, 1871) is one of SoHo's many fine cast-iron buildings. It was built for A. J. Dittenhoefer, something of a celebrity lawyer of New York's Gilded Age--among other things, he campaigned for Abraham Lincoln and successfully defended Enrico Caruso against charges of sexual molestation.
I say a little more about this building, cast iron, and A. J. Dittenhoefer on my New York City landmarks blog, The Masterpiece Next Door.
