Das Daimler-Heizkraftwerk Sindelfingen
versorgt das Mercedes-Benz-Werk Sindelfingen mit Dampf, elektrischer Energie und Fernwärme.

Überschüssige Fernwärme wird an die Stadtwerke Sindelfingen abgeleitet; hierzu existiert eine 30 MW Fernwärmetrasse und eine dazu redundante Dampfauskopplung von 25 MW.
Dort werden im Jahr rund 165 GWh Strom erzeugt, wovon ca. 65 GWh in Form von Wärmeenergie an die Stadtwerke Sindelfingen verkauft werden.
Das Kraftwerk hat zwei Kamine von 120 m Höhe.
Ersterer ist das höchste Bauwerk im Landkreis Böblingen und trug von 1999 bis 2009 eine Sendeantenne zur Verbreitung des regionalen Fernsehprogramms R.TV.

Sindelfingen ist eines der weltweit führenden Kompetenzzentren für Sicherheit, Innovation und Design. Insgesamt sind am Standort rund 35.000 Menschen beschäftigt.
Direkt neben dem Werk liegt das Mercedes-Benz Kundencenter Sindelfingen, wo täglich rund 350 Fahrzeuge ausgeliefert werden

Im Jahr 2015 wurden hier mehr als 300.000 Fahrzeuge produziert, was rund 15 % des weltweiten Absatzes von Mercedes-Benz Cars entspricht.

Hoher Anspruch im Sindelfinger Werk:
Im Juni 2008 erhielt das Werk den J. D. Power Platinum Award Factory 56
produziert einen Großteil ihres Stroms über Solarfelder auf dem Dach; die Solarenergie wird in umfunktionierten Autobatterien gespeichert. Der Energieverbrauch gegenüber bisherigen Werken konnte um 25 Prozent reduziert werden – unter anderem fällt durch Fenster in der Decke Tageslicht in die Halle.
Mit dem 2021 vorgestellten EQS, der ebenso in der Factory 56 hergestellt wird wie die S-Klasse, fertigt Daimler erstmals auch ein Elektroauto im Werk Sindelfingen.

This 2005 bus is the last of the SCESC's once large fleet of FS-65s. Now relegated to the back of the lot, it is kept company by a pair of parts source C2s.

Seen at Lake Arrowhead Village. Warning lights and "SCHOOL" sign covered up, as this bus was in used as a charter service. Presumably used by a Boy Scout troop, as they had an event at the area.

As the front door was open, I decided to ask the bus operator which year was this bus. He answered that he didn't know, but I still determined that this was a more recent one, as it had the revised rear window. (2020 onwards)
