I had fun doing my first Lake Merrit HDR. I used a very #longexposure on all the photos I used here, had to do massive noise reduction. I stupidly shot this with a heavy ND but had to open my aperature all the way to compensate, and ended up with softer focus than I could have had at 18-22. Oh well. After the noise reduction and softer focus it sort of has a painterly quality up close. Less than ideal but I still dig the image overall. Got #myhometown tagged by @G3D which made me realize most all my Oakland photos are reflective of the gritty, industrial, edgy outer crust but nothing of the sweet parts. Oakland is a wonderful place contrary to what you may have heard or what my photos show. I live and run a business in downtown Oakland and enjoy it. You should all come visit.
