Third eye tattoo (left forearm) - done on August 10th 2009 - photo taken approximately 24 hours after getting it done.
The tattoo dude overworked some areas, packed in too much ink, now that it's healed the colour is less vibrant and there's some scarring and blank areas, it need to be redone.

...to bleed my eyes and see all clearly.
and then think about what will be...is this not logical?
cant connect the dots...it strains my mind that i cant.
answer these questions on my own.
how could i relate to something someone else say...

It would seem like navigating the deserts with a map of the ocean.
an empty vessel navigating the desert ocean...
Everything seems random and randomness seemed like god!
turns round and round pointing everywhere...
this routine scraping of the skies is taking its toll.
But they say that there is a light at the end...
confusion is mandatory?
Such amazing tiny fragments lost in such weird craziness we are.
when you really think about it, theres nothing more beautiful than god...
and the mirror its holding.

I rode to downtown Denver from Mike and Susan's house in Lakewood to meet and chat with Rocky, who I hadn't seen in years (in town for a Librarian conference). It was so cold my water bottles froze solid, and at some point I had to stop and re-warm my genitals, which were in danger of suffering a similar fate (even with long underwear on under my overalls). It was worth it though. We had hot coffee and walked around downtown for hours talking about kids, relationships, divorce, libraries and technology. It started snowing pretty seriously on the way home, and so I took the bus up to Cold Springs, and toughed it out the last few miles from there. This was one of the few times I've ever wished I had studded tires.
