A cow is honored with decorations, food and water in Katmandu, Nepal. The third day of the Tihar (also called Diwali or Deepawali) festival, the second most important Hindu festival in Nepal after Dasain, honors the cow.

Attending Will’s funeral today…a tearful day for sure…as I ponder his passing, I realize that at the end of the day, it’s about great connections with others and enjoying life…

Taken using my point-and-shoot Panasonic DMC-FZ00 camera (my seat was far back -- as seen in pic #5 -- so I didn't bother bringing my DSLR... opted for the long 600mm f/2.8 zoom instead).

Day Three of Confinement!
This will be the third day that we have been off from school because of ice. Not only off of school, but pretty much stuck inside because of ice! This was inspired by an English assignment to write a letter/poem to a teenager 100 years in the future, and how nothing really changes at the basic level, and connecting with the future. My teacher said we had to decorate it as well, so I'm attaching this picture :)
The good thing about these snow days, is that I've been so inspired out of complete and utter boredom, that now I'm taking pictures :)

When you think your life is shattered and there’s no way to be fixed again love heals your heart. At a time you least expected you’re alive like you have never been. Love heals your heart.

Happy Valentines Day! Yesterday, lot's of little kids in the church nursery gave me cookies, candy, notes, etc. It was so cute <3
I learned how to embroider these hearts when I just about 6 years-old. I can make them in a flash and I put them on everything. Yes, even cards. Ever since then, I've always thought they look like a broken heart that has been mended with stitches. Now when I think of my human heart that was broken by sin and God has mended it I think of this. Every time I feel God’s presence and love, every time I see God’s intervention in my life, every time I reach out to someone else, every time God grants me blessings, my heart feels like God is sewing another stitch on my broken heart. “He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds” Psalm 147:3
