from comfort cruising to serious cycling...everything you need is here...a fun place to just hang out for a while in the bay area
12.9in x 9.3in. Non-tradiotional Digital Photography. I took this shot with the intent of displaying how my camera is my third eye. I have become attached to my camera and it pretty much travels with me where ever I am going. This final image is two photos blended together to create texture on my portrait. I took a shot of wooden beams the other night while just messing around with some long exposures, so I decided to see what it looked like. I took my self portrait in the mirror but I wanted to capture my other eye to be open and looking straight ahead and I wanted a good depth of field so the camera wasn't taking over. I used an aperture of 1.8, an ISO of 1250, and a shutter speed of 1/200th of a second. As far as editing goes I pretty much just blended the layers together, lowered the opacity of the wood layer and used the eraser to erase away the lines that the wood makes on the camera, so that part came out clear. I merged the two layers and boosted my contrast, highlights, shadows, and saturation a little bit. I did not really have as much fun with this project because I never shoot non-traditional photos, I like to present things in the most real sense possible, but it is always good to know how to do something like this.

This was taken in NW 23rd between two storefront windows. There was hardly graffiti on the street so this funny little face stuck out to me a lot!
