I was thinking of Anthony van Leeuwenhoek looking at a drop of pond water under his homemade microscope "with great wonder, that in the said matter there were many very little living animalcules, very prettily a-moving".

Perhaps he is taken by a hydroid like Obelia longissima and perhaps a fat Bosmina longirostris putters by...and being the first person to see this... he is fascinated... he cannot help but see the (apparent) similarities in this microscopic water world to that outside his window. And so it is set down on paper...

It could have happened... sometimes we see things that aren't there, I certainly do anyway.

Unfortunately the scan doesn't quite capture the beautiful gold and silver. ah well, I still like it.

This was another car inspired by Gina K's vintage-y technique on one of her recent lives. I created the crinkled background with Hero Arts Old Letter Writing stamp. It's distressed with a little soft pool, chocolate brown and antique linen inks. I stamped the Ellen Hutson mondo hydrangea on ivory card stock in dark chocolate ink and then used some light aqua Copics to color it. Distressed it also with some browns. This was actually a perfect fit for the current MFT color challenge of browns and aquas, as well, so I'm linking there.

A while ago I scored this beautiful rococo dress from the MP. It is actual meant for Custom House dolls, so it is a little big on my Littlefee. I still love it though.
