Ok..i haven't really taken pictures like this before so i thought i might just test it. Im not sure if i really like it..but i guess you have to try new things every now and then. So i just tested it on my 'Willow Tree' Figurine..Its the 'Thinking of you' doll.
A scene at the railway station, for the Photo Technique Challenge 'Famous art - my version'.
The poster says Rodin - The thinker thinks again.
This statue by Rodin (a copy of the original statue at the musée Rodin in Paris) was stolen from the Singer Museum in Laren (the Netherlands) by thieves who were planning to melt it down and sell the copper.
Unfortunately for them, one of the thieves left behind a map leading straight to his home address.
Unfortunately for the museum, it took the police another two days to go and pay a visit. By the time they arrived, the statue was already in pieces.
It now is restored and on display at the Singer Museum again.
A while back, I had this idea for the use of a distress flare in a band shoot. My experience of these things was pretty slim, so did a lot of research on safety, proximity etc.
The band were offered some out of date flares for free, which would have been unreliable at sea, but perfect for this use. This location was a disused barn, with the lower floor accessible only by the rickity wooden ladder on the right.
Just before this shot, we activated an orange smoke canister. The effect of this was something we had all underestimated, and within seconds the entire barn was filled with a dense and caustic orange fog. After the 20 minutes it took to clear, we were able to get this.
These two cards are for my friends who are in the hospital. They were in a car accident so please keep them in your prayers.
I got this paper from my sister for Christmas and I just love how bright and cheery it is! I used a hero arts alphabet set to stamp the girl's initials on the flowers. I don't have colored buttons so I just inked and embossed some plain ones. Thanks for looking! ♥
But what is she thinking? Cherishing a memory? Plotting some mischief? I find her expression enigmatic.

Spotted on the approach to Manchester Piccadilly Gardens is a Dennis Trident Enviro 400 owned by Stagecoach's Manchester subsidy.
This vehicle is 19250 - MX58 GNF and carries the rather smart bright yellow BEE NETWORK livery which is the new franchising (London Inspired) transport system for Greater Manchester which is due to be completed with buses in 2025 and overall public transport in 2030.
I am quite fond of this livery, it does seem to brighten up the dull grey Piccadilly Gardens seeing flashes of yellow.
This is my first attempt at black/grey colouring. Butterfly is Hero Art digital stamp, coloured in grey copics. Black panel has been stamped with an Annabelle's Background stamp and clear embossed.
Thinking of you is a rub on.
Grey panel behind the black, then white card base. Black and sheer ribbon behind and mini pearl dots.

Learned a lot from this guy over the years, most of which I wish I didn't... ;)
