Black and white re-edit from August 2018. After uploading I realised my previous upload of this shot was in black and white too and, well, I prefer this edit so have decided to leave it in my stream. I wouldn't normally upload two monochrome edits of the same shot though, this is my mistake as I intended to do this one in colour and completely forgot during the process (must be my age!). Apologies.

I was thinking about Yellowstone a lot today after the news of major flooding due to record rain fall. This picture was taken last week between Mammoth and Gardiner. The elk was testing out the water but ended up not crossing. So sad to hear about the damage in that area :(! I pray for the safety of everyone in and around Yellowstone and for its wonderful wildlife.

"Contemplative Thinking" wurde 2018 als Sonderprojekt für das Kunstmuseum Yinchuan ins Leben gerufen. Die Künstlerin sammelte Hunderte von getragenen Schuhen aus der Region, die jeweils an einem langen Stoffbein befestigt sind

und eine dynamische Menschenmenge in unterschiedlichen Körperhaltungen bildeten. Die einzelnen, persönlichen Geschichten, die jeder Schuh erzählt, verbinden sich zu einer kollektiven Landschaft und spiegeln die Spannung zwischen

individueller Einsamkeit und Gruppenverhalten wider.

"Contemplative Thinking" was created as a special project for Yinchuan Art Museum in 2018. The artist collected hundreds of worn shoes from local participants, each attached to a long fabric "leg", forming a dynamic crowd in varied postures. Each pair of shoes holds a personal story, which merges into a collective landscape, reflecting the tension between individual solitude and

conformity.
