Few things possess more Power than
a Thought.
Because a Thought has the potential
to become something significant.
To solve something meaningful
And to inspire us to achieve great things.
What makes a Thought so powerful
is that it can be created by anybody.
At anytime.
From anywhere.
That's why Thinking should be encouraged
and nutured in all its forms.
No matter how small.
Or how impossibly grand.
Because whenever Thinking happens,
Big Ideas follow.
Minds become enlightened.
Knowledge grows.
And people discover new ways to unlock their
Potential.
So start Thinking.

Trying out a couple of low key lighting techniques. I intend to compile a series to add to my portrait portfolio to show diversity.
Couldn't grad another model a short notice, so had to use this guy ;-) Shame nobody told him to smile!
Would welcome any constructive comments, good or bad, as to your preference.

Me tienes loca, desesperada
Eres mi pequeño y grande mundo
Pensando en ti moriré
Porque has conquistado para siempre mi corazón.
Just experimenting today during my exhibition.

This is Brent, my sister-in-law's brother. He needed some last-minute senior portraits to go out with his graduation announcements, so he asked me to help, which I was extremely happy to do. This was like my first "legit" photo gig, and I was super excited, plus I got to work with a pretty nice Canon, so I was a happy girl. I feel so professional, and it makes me really excited to delve into photography even more.
In other news, I only have 8 more days left in my senior year, and that scares the crap out of me. But I'm also really, really excited. It's bittersweet, for lack of a better word. I'm only going to be about and hour and a half away from home next year, so that will be really good, I think. I just can't believe it's all ending this soon. I can't believe that I'm growing up, like, for real. This sounds incredibly weird, but when I was younger, I never really thought that I would grow up.. like I just thought I would be young forever.. and I guess I still kind of feel the same way, because I can't really imagine myself as an adult at all. I just like being the age I am, and I always have.. if that makes any sense.
I don't know. Sorry about the rambling.

The "I think this is Art!" award is often bestowed upon HDR macro sunset kitten nipples. Vexingly, it invokes Salvador Dali's excellent moustache.
I think this would have been better if I was directly behind the water. And if it was more centered. It also seems like I'm going through a feet/legs phase.

Per the National Gallery of Art (NGA) Sculpture Garden website:
"Barry Flanagan explored painting, dance, and installation work as alternatives to the constructed metal sculptures that were the prevalent idiom when he was in art school in London in the 1960s.
His inventive and varied body of work is filled with humor and poetic associations, often evoked by the particular organic materials he employed.
While working with clay in the early 1980s, Flanagan perceived the image of a hare "unveiling" itself before him.
The hare motif has appeared in a variety of guises in Flanagan's bronzes. In 'Thinker on a Rock', the artist substitutes the hare for Rodin's Thinker (1880), making an irreverent reference to one of the world's best-known sculptures, a version of which may be seen in the West Building sculpture galleries."

Haz saber a Flickr quienes somos.
