I think this is the most spectacular view of Miami, which shows true spirit of the magic city with all its glory.

I think my photostream has been a little too 'serious' lately. I've been trying to take pictures that are challenging and creative, and I think I'm forgetting to have fun. So today I'm reminding myself that photography should be something enjoyable and that Flickr is not a competition! And if I forget that, someone please slap me.

The above photo is a self portrait of me, feeling all 'bright' and cheerful sitting in the kitchen. :)

It may look like winter outside, but I'm on a hunt for Spring inside! Finally making a table runner for myself.

Seriously, am I the only one to be pissed of about that?! Some people over there get 30 faves for their customs when they aren't even able to paint a straight line!! Me and 2 of friends have decided to post this to make you realize that it's not really cool for the good ones over there!! Some people such has legoman55 or someone like that is getting only 30 faves for his customs when they are freacking awesome, while the noobs are getting more than that. In addition they rush themselfs not bothering to clean up the pain or think of how to improve themselves. As for new sculptors why are you buying "Green Stuff" right off the bat, you don't even know to sculpt and you're using professional quality clay. I think most of the great ones will agree with us on that. I hope we made you realized something...

Rome definitely is POETIC... It can inspire

with their bright feathers and strongly hooked bills, flamingos are among the most easily recognized waterbirds. Their pink or reddish color comes from the rich sources of carotenoid pigments (like the pigments of carrots) in the algae and small crustaceans that the birds eat.

i get a little warm in my heart,

when I think of winter..

Think i could have done a lot better, my photoshop wasn't brilliant on this one, and ended up doing this in the kitchen, next time dont use a bed sheet !

Please don't think I've lost it...I was sitting at lunch yesterday, while I worked my Tuesday-only job as a dental hygienist. I was reading Ansel Adams' book, "The Negative," as he talked about seeing in BW. This is an everyday scene on a small microwave in our office (and yes, we do have a blonde - guess which cup is hers. I have been amazed by her cup for 15 years - the lipstick color never changes, but, hopefully, the cup has). I was trying to see the tones in my mind's eye and decided to photograph it and apply a BW filter to see how close I came. I rather like the composition and decided to post it with a little LR and PS work.

Trying out the Brainiosmic Thoughtomizer. I need all the help I can get.

I think they have such little personalities, and once I get to know them, I can tell if they are in need of water at a glance. They live here in a little prickly pack, on the windowledge between the wood stove and the snow.

I think it is really crazy to see that they started to build "complete" cities side by side on the strip over the last years. When you stand in front of the Eiffel Tower it is really huge and very impressive.

I not a big photographer in Black & White, but I like very much to watch great Black & White Artwork. By my work with HDR techniques, I realized that it is great for improving your Black & White work. HDR increases the contrast very dramatically. Sometimes too much and I was not satisfied with my result.

I think I've got the ID correct; please correct me if not. According to the websites I've read, this hoverfly is common; however, I don't think I've seen it before. I found this one on an umbellifer (which it apparently favours) in Lainshaw Woods, Stewarton. It didn't pose for many shots before hovering off :D.

It doesn't seem to have a common name.

HAD to go to Mom & Dad’s so I could post for Jules’ Photo Challenge Group!

At home, still no connectivity so I am way behind. Yes I really did have my hair totally bleached and died pink!!

Think I've now got shots of 3 different Gormley statues. This one is down at Leith and is possible my favourite. Would've liked some epic fog to drift in but knowing my luck that would've just obscured it!
