I was looking for a good shot, when I noticed these seagulls fly by me – really close. Thought that it might be really cool if I could get an in-your-face shot. The next seagull that passed by, I was clicking in a flash. This was the first shot of the series. After seeing this in the viewfinder, I was really encouraged and started taking more. Unfortunately, none came out as good as this one.

A few things:
I've been spending a lot of time at my desk, so it's only fair that a 365 should show you a part of it.
My dear mama bought me this Westclox clock; we picked it up yesterday after having it fixed. It's art deco 1950s/mid-century and a lovely orangey-yellow (Ash, I'll give you a moment to appreciate the wonderfulness of all that).
You may think this photo is simple and plain, but it's deceptive: the light is part of the alarm, and it flashes. In order to take a photo of the light, I waited. And waited. As the light flashed. And then I went for it. Sometimes you have to do that, y'know?
I was supposed to go out tonight, to see a friend's band. But this week wore me out. So much so that these past two days, I can't seem to focus through a lens to save my life. 365 has been tough these past few days - photos that were so close but just didn't make it, film that coulda been but was wasted. Some things need to be simplified, some eyes need some sleep.
So for a photo, you get (somewhat deceptively) simple. And instead of of rock 'n' roll, it's off to bed in a few minutes.
Speaking of minutes, the time on this clock does not reflect the actual time the photo was taken. I forgot to change it when I plugged it in.
Speaking of minutes again, do you know how many are left in this year? Too many. There are some adventures in the works, and I think I'm already counting down.
