Let there be light! Happy Friday to you all!
This is Disney's California Adventure park. | See my other photos here.
I think I want to go to Hollywood this weekend to try the new camera and get some fun shots. I did use it this week in an assignment but the work photos are so boring. It's a photo of a doctor in a locker room hall. The photo is for a company brochure. I might post it next week so you can see SOOC photo details of the new cam. :)
NOTE:
-I simply increased the contrast +20 in LR 2.0 and saturated the entire photo +5
-Seriously, the sun light ray & flare is natural. :)

A 1.5 mile hike got us to Horseshoe Bend near Page, Arizona, USA. The heat was a bit challenging at mid-day in June. About 1000 feet below the Colorado River was a beautiful green as it made its way through Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. There were a good number of people with the same idea.

Had a great time today with Eispoo Vezina Make sure to check out this park, there is so much to do here!
A big swell tonight.. at least 2.5m and high tide so I went to Mona Vale pool for the first time. The pool is some distance from shore and has its own lighting. There are two Rockpools - one suitable for toddlers and a larger pool measuring 30 metres for bigger kids and adults

I took the shots from the headland under cover as it was raining a lot. Parking is 5 seconds away. Unfortunately no lightning or really differentiated clouds but still some great shots to share.

"The Lightning Show"
A presentation on lightning at the Boston Museum of Science. This experiment shows how the electric current will find its way around the OUTSIDE of metal objects, not harming people on the inside.
That's why you might be safe in your car during a lightning storm, NOT because you think it's protecting you with rubber tires. It's not!!

SERIES:
New series continuing from last week's post. If you guessed a train station, you were absolutely correct. There's a lot more on the property than just the train. There is the old plantation house, the museum as well as the distillery. On this occasion, we are only dealing with the newest attraction, which is the train.
Last time, we saw the engineers. So now, here comes the train! This German built locomotive comes from the Statfold Barn Railway and Engineering who had saved the locomotive from a sugar plantation in Java in 2009. "Tjepper No. 5 was built in 1914 by Arnold Jung Lokomotivfabrik in Germany is a powerful articulated locomotive (to manoeuvre tight radii) of the “mallet” design having four steam cylinders driving 8 wheels.".
To know a bit more about the history of St. Nicholas Abbey and the attractions on the property, you can go here: https://www.stnicholasabbey.com/
To all of you, hope you enjoy the weekend and have an awesome week ahead, wherever you are! Let me know what you think!

Icebergs are arriving along many points along the northern and eastern coasts of Newfoundland. They are quite plentiful this year. This one, I photographed yesterday at the community of Salvage, NL, a quaint little town near where I live. To me, it resembled a crown. :)

Just going through old photos I took years ago, keeping myself busy during this Coronavirus lockdown. Stay safe everyone.

The sun was setting on Megunticook Lake and lighting up the Millerite ledges with a fantastic orange glow that made the trees look they had already put on their autumn leaves.
When you start to create pictures that are about procrastination, you need to review your things to do list. I need to review my relationship with flickr.
