[36536] We finished watching all five seasons of The Wire tonight and I have to say I'm very sad it's over. We watched the whole series in about a month, which means we watched hours and hours of it every week and I always wanted more more more! I hate that it made me root for the cops so often, I loved Omar (who didn't?), Snoop and Chris freaked me out, I wanted Daniels to succeed... Ah, it was just *so good.* Highly recommended if you haven't seen it. Season three might be the best season of television ever made.
Usually no fun to be sick, but this time around the emotions where ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense joy. If you have not seen this show, you've missed out on something wonderful. Thank you David Simon, HBO and everybody who had anything to do with the fact that I was able to enjoy this in my home on my sick leave!

Taken at 1:00 am Christmas morning. I was thrilled to see this huge ad for The Wire on Sunset. Prime advertising space. I worked on Seasons 3 and 4 as the story researcher, but didn't do 5 because I moved back to Los Angeles.

We ordered ourselves an early Christmas present of all four seasons of The Wire. Season 5 starts in January, and we haven't seen season four yet, so we need to get watching.
This is one of the best TV shows I've ever watched, and I feel like I've watched some good ones (Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, Sports Night, Shasta McNasty...). It's highly recommended. Start with season one. Two isn't nearly as good, but you can't skip ahead to three or four without the earlier ones. And you'll kick yourself if you do.

The Wire never gets rowdy enough for this sign to matter, which is the only reason I had my DMC-FZ30 with me. Normally I wouldn't take it anywhere near a pit. :)
