In a sea of faces, in a sea of doubt
In this cruel place your voice above the maelstrom
In the wake of this ship of fools I'm falling further down
If you can see me, Marian, reach out and take me home.....
I hear you calling Marian
Across the water, across the wave
I hear you calling Marian
Can you hear me calling you to
Save me, save me, save me from the
Grave...
Marian
Marian, there's a weight above me
And the pressure is all too strong
To breathe deep
Breathe long and hard
To take the water down and go to sleep
To sink still further
Beneath the fatal wave
Marian I think I'm drowning
This sea is killing me
Was ich kann und was ich könnte
(What I can do and what I could do)
Weiss ich gar nicht mehr
(I just don't know anymore)
Gib mir wieder etwas schönes
(Give me something beautiful again)
Zieh mich aus dem Meer
(Drag me from the sea)
Ich höre dich rufen, Marian
(I hear you calling Marian)
Kannst du mich schreien hören
(Can you hear me screaming?)
Ich bin hier allein
(I am here alone)
Ich höre dich rufen, Marian
(I hear you calling Marian)
Ohne deine hilfe verliere ich mich in diesem Ort
(Without your help I am lost in this place)

Some abysmal photos of The Sisters of Mercy at Glasgow ABC, 12th October 2015. Photos and recording were actually banned so if anyone from The Sisters' management team want these works of art taken down just ask.

Some of my really favorite ones (unluckily, I've left my God Machine CD's to a friend...).
Their 2 albums are simply amazing...
Arid : Little things of venom
Catherine Wheel : Adam and Eve
The Clash : London Calling
The Cult : Love
The Cure : Kiss me kiss me kiss me
dEUS : The ideal crash
P.J Harvey : Dry
Interpol : Turn on the bright lights
Jane's Addiction : Ritual de lo habitual
Jesus And Mary Chain : Honey's dead
Manic Street Preachers : This my truth tell me yours
Metallica : Ride The Lightning
The Mission : Carved in sand
Noir Desir : Du ciment sous les plaines
Paradise Lost : Draconian Times
Pixies : Surfer Rosa
Power of Dreams : 2 hell with common senses
Radiohead : OK computer
Rage Against The Machine : RATM
Ride : Nowhere (probably my n°1 album of all times...)
The Sisters of Mercy : First and last and always
Sophia : The infinite circle
The Stone Roses : The Stones Roses
Two Gallants : What the toll tells
Finally a guitar oriented choice...
So many good (sometimes bad...) memories. A bit like the soundtrack of my little life...

Lucretia My Reflection is a song by English rock band the Sisters of Mercy. Released as the third and final single from their second studio album, Floodland, in June 1988, it peaked at number 20 on the UK Singles Chart. Aside from the reference to Lucrezia Borgia, Lucretia was a woman whose rape triggered the collapse of the Roman kingdom. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucretia_My_Reflection

I hear Empire down
I hear Empire down
I hear the sons of the city and dispossessed
Get down, get undressed
Get pretty but you and me
We got the kingdom, we got the key
We got the empire, now as then
We don't doubt, we don't take direction
Lucretia, my reflection, dance the ghost with me
