The Cowboys have all faded away now. Gone are the early morning chores, saddling up the horses, rounding up the herd, mending broken fences, branding the cattle, and waiting for that chuckwagon bell that signals come and get one of your three squares.

The cattle have all faded away now and with no more cattle to work.... where do the cowboys roam these days?

.the swallows flew through the gap at the top - so did the wren who had made a nest inside an old swallows nest

Historical Ranch that has been converted to a restaurant in Fish Creek. I have eaten here twice. Very good.

This was taken on the better side of a very long bike trip yesterday. We started at Bebo Grove on the far west side and ended close to east boundary at Sikome Lake. That would have been enough for the first bike ride of the season in 28 c degree weather...but we had to bike all the way back 2.5 hours.

Sunburned, out of water, lots of uphills, head winds.... hit a deadend due to a bridge washout from a few years ago, had to double back... my body is sunburned pink and my butt is extremely sore. .... Even though we were all getting a bit cranky on the last mile, it was a great day ;-)

Woke up this morning to snow.. Just enough to remind us that it is tradition to snow on May long

I think we have all had that tug at our heart strings when we're traveling the highway of life and we see an image that just stops us. This was one of those moments for me. It reminded me of a simpler time I wish I could escape back to.

This is for all the people who couldn't stop.

Taken Mar. 7, 2015- 1 mile north of the town of Tomales, Calif along Hwy 1.
