The curve, also in mathematics called a curved line in theoretical and applied mathematics texts is the mathematical object similar or different to the axial straight plane lines, the curved line is not a straight line but may be a function, or the curved line may be part of a non straight plane (nonrectangular object), or part of a sphere or spherical object, or a curved plane, etc., and there too is different to straight lines that are part of straight planes but for some functions may be projected to a straight plane into straight planes.
A plane algebraic curve is the zero set of a polynomial in two indeterminates. More generally, an algebraic curve is the zero set of a finite set of polynomials, which satisfies the further condition of being an algebraic variety of dimension one. If the coefficients of the polynomials belong to a field k, the curve is said to be defined over k. In the common case of a real algebraic curve, where k is the field of real numbers, an algebraic curve is a finite union of topological curves. When complex zeros are considered, one has a complex algebraic curve, which, from the topological point of view, is not a curve, but a surface, and is often called a Riemann surface. Although not being curves in the common sense, algebraic curves defined over other fields have been widely studied. In particular, algebraic curves over a finite field are widely used in modern cryptography.

There's something called The Copenhagen Interpretation that posits that "things" at the subatomic level don't have any determined properties, only possibilities. A particle can be in two places at the same time, the atom can be in both an excited and unexcited state at the same time, and a photon can be both a particle and a wave.
What determines what we see is our measurement and observation,
Then all the probabilities collapse into one, the one being observed.
Schrodinger wasn't a fan of that theory, so he devised a thought experiment to show how absurd it would be to apply to the gross world of stuff.
He said imagine we put a cat in a box. Also in the box is a radioactive particle which might, or might not begin to decay and emit radiation. If it does, there's a gieger counter which will trigger the release of a noxious gas that will kill the cat.
Then we put a lid on the box.
But until someone opens the box, the cat is both alive and dead.
That's hugely oversimplified, but it's the layman's gist.
This little cat was sitting under a curb on a recessed sewer grate.
So,, is it coming or going or both?

A warp drive is a theoretical superluminal spacecraft propulsion system in many science fiction works, most notably Star Trek and I, Robot by Isaac Asimov. A spacecraft equipped with a warp drive may travel at speeds greater than that of light by many orders of magnitude. In contrast to some other fictitious FTL technologies such as a jump drive, the warp drive does not permit instantaneous travel between two points, but rather involves a measurable passage of time which is pertinent to the concept. In contrast to hyperdrive, spacecraft at warp velocity would continue to interact with objects in "normal space." The general concept of "warp drive" was introduced by John W. Recently the field of theoretical cosmology has been enervated by the suggestion that our universe is the mirror image of another one stretching back in time before the Big Bang (see, for example, www.research.ed.ac.uk/en/publications/icpti-symmetric-uni... ).
Intrigued, I set out to test whether this was observable in practice. After a quick calculation on the back of an old envelope (cigarette packets now being not Politically Correct) I worked out that conditions would be favourable for an experiment in the period around the vernal equinox for my latitude (51N). At this time the angles of the Earth’s gravitational field, the neutrino flux from the sun and a local EM field could be arranged to the optimum.
So, setting a sufficiently powerful Tesla coil in a glass envelope with an inert gas (I used Nitrogen), I tried it out.
And it worked!
Sometimes I could actually see the dim reflection of the alternate universe appear in the glass capsule, but perhaps the best result was this one where I managed to create a wormhole bridging the paired universes.
If you look carefully at the image though you might observe that the energetic feedback created by the wormhole burnt out my coil… such are the sacrifices of science…

Storytelling idiocy aside, this image was one of the fun results of an evening spent with a local friendly group of photographers taking images of lightbulbs on tablets (and other things but I didn’t get that far :( ).
I used a clear glass bulb on my iPaddle which I set up to show some very colourful graphic images that I had generated using Midjourney (I finally found something useful to do with that toybox… The text prompt for this one, if you are interested, was ‘Close - up macro HDR photograph of the centre of mirrored 3D circle sculptures, overlapping rainbow circular fractal, vivid rainbow colours, graphic abstract’).
The bulb was lying on its side at an angle resting on the bayonet fitting so I made the canvas larger and rotated it. Starting in Capture One I dropped the greys to black using a levels adjustment and played with the Clarity and a little Dehaze. In Affinity I sharpened it with High Pass/Linear blend and a bit of Unsharp mask and enriched the colour. Then quite a lot of work with inpainting to remove the vestiges of the iPad and a lot of dust.
PS I forgot to mention that this was a focus stack of ten images, though I suspect only four or five contributed anything useful. The camera did the focusing and I used Helicon Focus for the stacking, which I've not really done before (it was fast, worked with raws and produced a dng output).

Theoretical location is Baristo and Aveneda Caballeros I have selected as of nearly seven years ago is near perfect and central located with just the right amount of land to accommodate the masjid and islamic learning center. This is also ideal as other places of worship have built in this area so zoning would likely be a less of a challenge as a result.

Neil Taylor is an artist working in Melbourne. This welded steel sculpture creates an interesting impression when looked at closely. As Taylor himself describes his work:
"I try for an unimpeded apprehension of the whole piece simultaneous with the space it occupies. Space is illustrated as much as an idea presented. Emptiness is manifest, the laws of structure reveal space as pure potential, scaffolds open up space and give it a known face."
Been sifting through 4k in pics I have on my hard drive and snapped this one when I had the pleasure to meet Theo in world as her exhibit. Even though she is not inworld anymore her spirit continues to live on in her work which continues to be a huge inspiration to me.
Her av had an ageless beauty about her like a character out of Cabaret not to mention the awesome music conductor like typing ao she had, so I thought this tune would be appropriate with the image.

Theoretical results about the Universe suggests that we, like holograms, are made of matter and energy. One may say that from the Universe's quantum physics (black hole theory) perspective.. we 'are' in theory 'holograms' with spacial depth.

Theoretically, holograms could someday be transmitted electronically to a special display device in our home.
The theory of holography was developed over 60 years ago by inventor Dennis Gabor in the year 1947.
The recent development of laser technology made holography possible.

psychosocial therapies are part of the standard management of schizophrenic illnesses, but have not been subjected to systematic evaluation and are therefore not included in this guideline. This does not imply that they are not essential components of good practice.
The remainder of this section describes the evidence for the effectiveness of Education Programmes, Family Interventions, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in the management of schizophrenia. Section 3 provides recommendations for the application of these interventions in clinical practice, according to the phase of the illness.
Education programmes
Education Programmes are directed at either patients or carers/family members and have several aims. Improvement in knowledge of schizophrenia and its course and in compliance with treatment has been shown. There is also evidence of greater satisfaction with services provided. Some programmes go beyond the provision of information and take an educational approach to skills training or problem solving.
Education Programmes for patients may be undertaken in individual or in group settings. Simple information-giving is less effective than interactive sessions. The focus includes giving information about the course and management of the illness, including the importance of compliance with medication and the management of stress.
Providing carers and family members with information on the likely course of the illness, the treatments available, the importance of compliance and the services available is an essential element of good practice It may be undertaken as part of a Family Intervention programme
Specific techniques, e.g. use of homework or video, have not been shown to improve the assimilation of information, but a group setting has advantages
Family interventions
The aims of 'Family Intervention' include reduction of frequency of relapse into illness and reduction of hospital admissions, reduction in the burden of care on families and carers, and improvement in compliance with medication.
Some Family Intervention Programmes have targeted families where there are high levels of criticism, hostility and over-involvement. 'High expressed emotion' is a measure of these features and programmes which reduce this or reduce the amount of 'face to face' contact between the patient and family members have been shown to reduce the frequency of relapse. However, the measurement of expressed emotion is a research technique which is not practical for everyday use. Family Intervention Programmes which are not derived from this theoretical background have been shown to be effective.
Most intervention strategies contain more than one technique. Separating and defining the effects of the components of an intervention strategy is not possible at present as few studies examine the effect of a single technique and only a general description of interventions used in research studies is usually given. However, a number of practice guides have been published which give detailed descriptions of the techniques employed in some studies. Family Intervention has been shown to be effective with some variation in the components of the programme, but family sessions to address the problems identified in the analysis may not be effective if the patient is not included. Social skills training and vocational rehabilitation were included in some studies. These are not covered as separate interventions in the guideline.
Cognitive behaviour therapy
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for psychosis is a modification of standard cognitive behavioural therapy. The aim is to modify symptoms (e.g. delusions, hallucinations) or the consequences of the symptoms which may be cognitive, emotional, physiological or behavioural. The treatment programme is intensive (involving about 20 hours of individual treatment) and based on an individually tailored formulation which provides an explanation of the development, maintenance and exacerbation of symptoms and of pre-morbid mood, interpersonal and behavioural difficulties.
There is now good evidence that treatment resistant symptoms (delusions, hallucinations) can be substantially reduced in a significant proportion of those who complete therapy. It is not yet clear who is most likely to benefit from treatment and many patients may be unwilling to participate. The treatment is well tolerated. However, reduction of symptoms has not been shown to lead to significant social or lifestyle improvements.
A combination of the following techniques has been shown to be most effective in lessening symptoms of psychosis resistant to other forms of treatment:

◦developing a rationale to explain symptoms28◦realistic goal setting
◦modification of delusional beliefs29◦modification of dysfunctional assumptions.
A number of these techniques are a refinement of normal good practice using a systematic approach.

“Like the Sirens who lured Ulysses to a blissful yet certain death, the northwest face of the Devil’s Thumb continues to tempt the alpinist onto her flanks" Dieter Klose. Late night alpenglow adds a soft touch, however few peaks inspire the same mix of fear and respect as the Devil's Thumb. A relatively low altitude peak at 2,767 m (9,077 ft) the notorious northwest face rises 2,042 m (6,700 ft) from its base. With an average angle of 67 degrees it is considered the steepest wall of that magnitude in all of North America.
While the peak itself was first climbed by Fred Becky in 1946, the northwest face remains unclimbed after five decades of attempts by scores of climbers including some of the world’s top mountaineers. Most never even made it to the start of the face, while at least three teams have perished in the process. Dieter Klose who in 1982 made it halfway up the route, higher than anybody else alive, commented in the American Alpine journal that ‘as a rock climb it’s a perfect place to commit suicide”. The warm coastal winds, extreme Alaskan precipitation levels, and Patagonian style variability in weather all combine to make the conditions on the face notoriously slippery and prone to avalanche. A small theoretical climbing window is possible during the spring transition when storms can create thaw-freeze conditions and stabilise the face however many believe the level of weather variability is so extreme that it will never be climbed. No one has attempted the face since 2003 when two Canadian climbers perished.
The mountain was known as Taalkhunaxhkʼu Shaa in native Tlingit, which translates to the "the Mountain That Never Flooded". The thumb is located in the Stikine Icecap region of the Alaska–British Columbia border, near Petersburg, and is often simply identified as Boundary Peak 71 on survey maps.
Love Life, Love Photography
In 2002, Paris based Lucy Orta worked for one month at the Drill Hall in Victoria Street Melbourne with community members from Carlton and Kensington public housing estates, users of Ozanam Community Centre in North Melbourne, fashion and industrial design students from RMIT, dance and movement students from Victoria University, architects from Federation Square, cultural theorist Nikos Papastergiadis, and the general public.
This was a series of multidisciplinary collaborations, theoretical discussions/forums, design, modelling, performance and architecture workshops held simultaneously and open to the general public. The starting points were looking at art as an agent of social change and nexus-heart: human empathy and our relationships to each other.

- This first generation 2-door Coupé body Pony Car (1969-1974) was designed by Carl Cameron, built on the Chrysler E-platform (like the Plymouth Barracuda) and assembled in Hamtramck (Michigan) and in Los Angeles (California).
- Everything changed at Dodge (and all car manufacturers) when the 1973 oil crisis hit the United States. The government passed legislation (1972) requiring engines to have the ability to run on low lead or no lead gasoline. Government safety and emission regulations, and increasing insurance premiums meant the horsepower rating and size for all manufacturers was on the decline.
- Engine power was now rated in SAE net horsepower, meaning theoretical horsepower with all accessories in place.
- So this 2+2-seater fixed-head Hardtop Coupé was for now the last series Challenger, only available with two detuned V-8 engines.
- Dodge re-used the Challenger name again for its second generation Challenger from 1978 until 1983.

Assumed that Jesus has lived as a person. Although if one believes that Jesus` body ascented into heaven, nonetheless there are atoms that once belonged to his body still on earth, because everybody looses cells, hair, skin cells, nails etc. during his lifetime. The Rundetaarn, or Rundetårn (Round Tower in English), is a 17th-century tower located in central Copenhagen, Denmark. One of the many architectural projects of Christian IV, it was built as an astronomical observatory. It is most noted for its equestrian staircase, a 7.5-turn helical corridor leading to the top, and for the expansive views it affords over Copenhagen.
The tower is part of the Trinitatis Complex which also provided the scholars of the time with a university chapel, the Trinitatis Church, and an academic library which was the first purpose-built facilities of the Copenhagen University Library which had been founded in 1482.
Today the Round Tower serves as an observation tower for expansive views of Copenhagen, a public astronomical observatory and a historical monument. At the same time the Library Hall, located above the church and only accessible along the tower's ramp, is an active cultural venue with both exhibitions and a busy concert schedule.
The Round Tower is a cylindrical tower built in masonry of alternating yellow and red bricks, the colours of the Oldenburgs. The bricks used were manufactured in the Netherlands and are of a hard-burned, slender type known as muffer or mopper. On the rear side, it is attached to the Trinitatis Church, but it has never served as a church tower.
Steenwinckel — whose name is otherwise synonymous with Dutch Renaissance architecture in Denmark — with the Trinitatis Complex has left his signature style. Unlike his other buildings with their lavish ornamentations and extravagant spires, the complex is built to a focused and restrained design. Hans van Steenwinckel must have been up on the situation in Holland, cogniziant that the style which he had once learned from Hendrick de Keyser had been altogether abandoned.
The architects now setting the agenda in the Netherlands, masters such as Jacob van Kampen (Amsterdam City Hall), Pieter Post (Mauritshuis in the Hague) and Philip Vingboons, now favoured a style characterized by sobriety and restraint. It is now known as Dutch Baroque or sometimes Dutch Classicism. Its proponents often relied on the theoretical works such as those of Palladio and of Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola. Steenwinckel may have paid a visit to his native Netherlands prior to his change in style but it will have been too early for him to have seen any of the period's buildings realized.
Instead of stairs, a 7.5-turn spiral ramp forms the only access way to the towertop observatory as well as the Library Hall and the Bell-Ringer's Loft, both located above the church. The ramp turns 7.5 times around the hollow masonry core of the tower before reaching the observation deck and observatory at the top, on the way also affording access to the Library Hall as well as the Ringer's Loft. This design was chosen to allow a horse and carriage to reach the library, moving books in and out of the library as well as transporting heavy and sensitive instruments to the observatory.
The winding corridor has a length of 210 m, climbing 3.74 m per turn. Along the outer wall the corridor has a length of 257.5 m and a grade of 10%, while along the wall of the inner core the corridor is only 85.5 m long but has a grade of 33%.
The observation deck is located 34.8 m above street level. Along the edge of the platform runs a wrought-iron lattice made in 1643 by Kaspar Fincke, Court Artist in metalwork. In the latticework, Christian IV's monogram and the letters RFP are seen, the letters representing the King's motto: Regna Firmat Pietas – Piety strengthens the Realms.
The observatory is a small domed building, built on the roof of the tower. Built in 1929, the current observatory is 7 m high and has a diameter of 6 m. Access is by a narrow winding stone staircase from the observation deck.
On the upper part of the façade of the tower, there is a gilded rebus inscription. Christian IV's draft of it, written in his own hand writing, is kept at the Danish National Archives. The rebus includes the four Hebrew consonants of the Tetragrammaton. The rebus can be interpreted in the following way: Lead God, the right teaching and justice into the heart of the crowned King Christian IV, 1642.

Proof of the Nonlocality of a Light Cone’s Surface:
Consider a pair of entangled photons which travel in opposite directions from the origin in the x1, x2 plane.
No matter how far apart they travel, they will remain entangled, meaning that their two positions will define a nonlocality.
Now consider numerous entangled pairs of photons, wherein the two photons in each pair travel away from the origin in opposite directions.

In 1963 Lorenz published a theoretical study of this effect in a highly cited, seminal paper called "Deterministic Nonperiodic Flow". Following suggestions from colleagues, in later speeches and papers he used the more poetic butterfly. Initially, he called it the seagull effect.
Lorenz discovered the effect when he observed that runs of his weather model with initial condition data that was rounded in a seemingly inconsequential manner would fail to reproduce the results of runs with the unrounded initial condition data. A very small change in initial conditions had created a significantly different outcome.

The theoretical part included several professors in peace theory, I'm sorry I can't remember their names, singers Lena Lovich and Nina Hagen (who arrived to the panel 25 mins. too late - she was a Diva!). The short concert after was fantastic, and as my longest lens was a 135 mm f/2.8 Nikkor, you can see how close you could get to the stars in the 80's. Shot with Nikon FE2/Tri-X/Rodinal/copy on Agfa Portriga paper.

Since these are meant to be pertinent to my theoretical DC Cinematic Universe, I’ve decided to put some little briefs on the roles they’d play.
Eduardo Dorrance AKA Bane (Voiced but not played physically, by Danny Trejo) would be the main villain of the first Batman movie, which would be heavily inspired by the DCMAU movie ‘Son of Batman’, with Bane effectively taking the roll of Deathstroke, killing Ra’s al Ghul in the first scene, inciting the wrath of his grandson, Damian Wayne. Throughout the movie, camera tricks, masks and plot devices (AI, Damian pushing him onto a geyser of Lazarus Pit badness, causing him face burns and respiratory shenanigans) would be used to hide Bane’s mouth (specifically ‘dem sneaky ‘not Danny Trejo’ word-smackers). He wouldn’t be killed, with Damian, now Robin, sparing him in the final act as part of his arc. He is thrown in Arkham where he goes mad from Venom withdrawal.
Just a side note, the nature of venom would be altered. Unlike its purely scientific origins in the comics, in this movie Venom is a naturally occurring chemical with some supernatural connotations, in the same vain of the Lazarus Pit. It also doesn’t make him unrealistically beefy.
Studies in Berlin: Science, Torah & Quantum Theory

Rabbi Menachem Mendel’s studies at Berlin’s Friedrich Wilhelm (Humboldt) University coincided with Erwin Schrödinger’s tenure as Professor of Theoretical Physics.
Many years later, in conversation with the American mathematician Paul Rosenbloom, the Rebbe recalled that he enjoyed Schrödinger’s lectures very much.
During this period Schrödinger was embroiled in a debate with other leading physicists over how to interpret the counterintuitive and paradoxical findings of quantum mechanics. Light was found to behave like particles and like waves, depending on the kind of experiment set up to observe its behavior.
According to Werner Heisenberg, this showed that objective reality is actually an indeterminate spectrum of possibilities; only subjective observation forces any one of those possibilities to materialize. Schrödinger disagreed. The indeterminate findings of quantum mechanics, he asserted, simply mirrored the incompleteness of the current theory.
In conversation with the American mathematician Paul Rosenbloom, the Rebbe recalled that he enjoyed Schrödinger’s lectures very much.“There is a difference,” he wrote, “between a shaky or out-of-focus photograph and a snapshot of clouds and fog banks.”
Albert Einstein, who was also on the faculty in Berlin at the time, but didn’t teach, shared Schrödinger’s concerns. It was his correspondence with Einstein that helped Schrödinger formulate the cat thought (gedanken) experiment to demonstrate the absurdity of Heisenberg’s position.
Heisenberg’s “uncertainty principle” can be interpreted in various ways and has been supplemented with various theories, leaving the discussion open until today.
Together with Einstein’s theory of relativity, according to which phenomena can no longer be measured in absolute terms, the uncertainty principle thoroughly undermines the classical notion that the empirical observations of science can provide a precise account of objective truth.
The Rebbe’s position, formulated in various letters over the years, might be seen as a mediation between the two poles articulated by Heisenberg and Schrödinger. But more importantly, it constitutes a mediation between science and religion. The Rebbe accepted the uncertainty principle as a scientific self-description of the limits of scientific investigation, but not as a conclusive statement about the nature of reality. This position rested on his surprising assertion that the Torah view of science is actually “at variance” with science's newfound self-circumscription:
“Where in the past scientific conclusions were considered as natural ‘laws’ in the strict sense of the term, i.e. determined and certain, modern science no longer holds this view. Parenthetically, this view is at variance with the concept of nature and our own knowledge of it (science) as espoused by the Torah, since the idea of miracles implies a change in a fixed order and not the occurrence of a least probable event.”
The Torah perspective is predicated on divine revelation, which asserts a foundation of absolute certainty. In contrast, scientific scrutiny of its own foundations "The Halacha accepts scientific findings, in many instances, not as possible or probable, but certain and true..." arrived at the uncertainty principle, generally regarded as the best candidate for a universal description of the physical world. For the Rebbe, this did not undermine the legitimacy of science but rather crystallized the terms of its relationship to Torah. In his view, the assumption that science should dictate those terms was fundamentally flawed. On the contrary, it was only by virtue of Torah’s authority that science too could be endowed with a measure of certainty:
“As a matter of fact, the Torah bestows upon science - in certain areas at least - a validity much greater than contemporary science itself claims. The Halacha accepts scientific findings, in many instances, not as possible or probable, but certain and true... In the light of what has been said above... modern science cannot legitimately (and I mean ‘legitimately’ even from the viewpoint of science itself) challenge Torah from Sinai.”
Accordingly, the Rebbe insisted that a religious Jew, even a professional scientist, should not have any qualms about accepting a literal reading of the Torah’s description of creation, or any other Torah deviation from commonly accepted scientific theory.
The developments in quantum theory during the years that the Rebbe was in Berlin deeply impacted his perception of the relationship between Torah and science. In a 1962 interview with the Israeli journalist Shlomo Nakdimon the Rebbe remarked:
"The discoveries in the laws of atoms shake up the very foundations according to which science worked until now. Until now, they said science is stable, but Torah is no more than belief. Now we see that the premises of science and technology do not have lasting truth. These revelations were made specifically through the study of the atom….”
The scientific method is an excellent tool in the hands of humanity, but none of its hypotheses such as "The discoveries in the laws of atoms shake up the very foundations according to which science worked until now." warrant apologetic reinterpretation of the Divine word. Such apologetics were characterized by the Rebbe as “the outmoded legacy of the 19th century and before.”
It was precisely the advances made by modern science that rendered them obsolete. With the old confusions cleared up, he argued, Torah and science are today free to progress in collaborative harmony.
The function of Torah, and especially Chassidism, is to reveal the unity of G‑d in the world. Previously, scientists thought that the universe was composed of many different elements, but modern science reduces everything to the union of energy and matter. Science itself, the Rebbe said, is discovering the underlying unity of all existence.
