It goes without saying - it's always exciting when a juvenile Red Headed Woodpecker shows up at one of the feeders!
I've seen a juvenile off and on for the past few weeks checking things out, but no idea is this is the same one or another one?
Regardless, this new feeder seems to be a hit with many of the birds, so hopefully this youngster will keep coming back and perhaps one day bring its youngsters here, too!
3rd September 2016 - I'm working on a few publicity shots for ACL and this is my first finished product.
It was exciting to see this juvenile Red bellied Woodpecker show up the other day, checking out the seed-leg feeder. I can only guess mom and/or dad showed him where to come for some good eatin' in the neighborhood. LOL!
Here's hoping to more Red bellies in the future, and that they will also show their young where some of the best buffet dining can be found.
So you might know by now that over the last couple of years I began formally watching Star Trek in its entirety from the very beginning (because reading comic books wasn’t enough media consumption already)
And now, as I’m crossing from Voyager’s final season and into Enterprise (ugh) and I’ve been fondly looking back on TNG lately. So I recently put together some proper minifigs using the solid UV-Printed torsos by BigKidBrix.
Oh and if you can name all the bonus figs other than the senior staff, than you passed the Kobayashi Maru... or you bring much honor to Kahless… or you know… you get a cookie from Neelix or something...

Sometimes, Captain Picard is just... massively disappointed in you.
Presented in glorious 4:3 aspect ratio.
Yep that’s right I made more Star Trek figs and you can’t do anything about it!
L-R (for the consideration of those who are uncultured), we’ve got a Random Borg Drone, Lily Sloane, Capt Picard, Zefram Cochrane, Solkar, Lt. Geordi LaForge, and good ole Commander Riker! :)

Was happily sat on the steps down by the river, when mum and five duckling decided to join me further down the steps. One little one took multiple attempt to join the clan on the steps; and when they left this one took an age to join them. Hope it makes it.

Collectormania 9, Middleton Hall, thecentre:mk, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. Friday 28th April 2006.
About the photograph.
This is the American actor and director, Jonathan Frakes. He was born on 19th August 1952, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, United States of American.
Between 1977 to 1986, he had been in many television episodes, but he is most famous for his role as Commander William T Riker, in the 1987-1994 science fiction series Star Trek: The Next Generation, and the later movies.
In additional to his acting roles, Frakes also worked as a director with four movies, and various television episodes under his belt, including many Star Trek spin-offs.
Notice the wedding ring on his finger in the both photographs, he is married to the actress Genie Francis, their wedding too place in May 1988.
In this photograph, I used my Minolta X-700 35mm film SLR camera and a telephoto lens, possibly the 80-200mm f4.5 zoom for this telephoto shoot of Frakes. Sadly I have no idea which roll of film I used, more likely to be either Kodak which is my preferred choice or Afga which is my secondary choice, depending on availability of stock.

Collectormania is one of the British range of fan conventions run by Showmasters, a company set up in 2002. Showmasters started out with just three people on full time, and a dozen others during show weekends, but grew to become an office full of people working all year around, with as much as up to 350 crew members making events happen. Their other fan conventions include London Film & Comic Con, among the many other events.

This close up photo of Frakes was taken with my Olympus Camedia C-3040Z, as I was the next customer and stepped forwards for my turn. At that moment, he had a phone call to deal with, politely looked at me with a facial expression that implied he apologised for making me wait. I held up my hand in more of a Don’t worry, it’s okay, gesture. It didn’t take him long, he just finished it, and got town to signing the autograph.

The idea has been lurking in my mind to do a family portrait, but the difficulty was to isolate the light sources to make sure I have control of the direction in light. Here I used the Interfit EX150 heads. The one on the left of Keldon has a snoot attached and the one on my left (your right) has the 4 leaf barn doors attached. I first tried an apperture of f/13, because of the DOF between subjects. I was not as sharp as Keldon and then I tried f/22, I know this is a recipe for a soft focussed shot :-( Only after finishing a serie of pictures I thought that I should not have used a focal lenght of 70mm, but I should have gone wider. This would have given me a deeper DOF. Silly me, still learning!!
Helm lay in a course for sector 221-G Warp Five.
Got a new light tent for Christmas and playing around with it. Hopefully this will be the first of many new pictures!

I've been tagged...by setsunasky !!!
My fifth folder right now contains pictures for a calendar I'm making as a Christmas present. These eight little cygnets are the fifth photo in it and they will even represent May - the fifth month of the year...
TAGGING INSTRUCTIONS:
You are being tagged! The rules are to upload the 5th photo from the 5th folder on your computer.
I am told that you turn into a frog if you break the rule.
Then, the person you tag, tags 5 more people!
I'm now tagging (and saying sorry to them in advance...):
Astonishing update.....please have a look at this: flickr.com/photos/11248476@N06/3098602106/ !!!
Gotta give some props to both dsainz31 from Insta and Curt Quarquesso here on flickr who served as huge inspirations for these two!
Personally I wanted to build Deanna's Magenta/Purple uniform but didn’t even come close to having all the parts needed to make it work (oh well, life goes on). Worf on the other hand came together pretty well :)
These are just two of eight Star Trek BHz I’ve been tinkering with over the past several months now! If you'd like to see how they came together, or just want to see the rest of the eight before anyone else, be sure to visit my Patreon! ;)

Super7 - ReAction Star Trek Figures
The Next Generation: Captain Picard, Data & Guinan
Star Trek: Gorn & Sulu
"First Officer Riker, remain calm, we believe there is a dangerous entity nearby and it may have affected you."
"Affected me? My clothes are tattered, I am bruised, yes I know there is an entity nearby and it is definitely dangerous!"
"Thomas, I'm picking up trace amounts of a unique energy signature on you. You have been in contact with the entity."
"Does this 'entity' remove cognizant thought? I just said it attacked me!"
"Riker, stay calm. We may be able to trace the entity and locate it."
"Well, there are large hoofprints right there! You want to start with that?"
"Thomas, when we find the entity, if we can affix it with a tracer, we would be able to study it."
"Well, Deanna, I'm pretty sure we're going to have to shoot it."
"Ah, Riker, these decisions are never easy for a captain."
"Oh, man, here we go."
"As The Next Generation, when faced with any decision, I must first create endless possible moral quandaries so that I can philosophize in excruciating monotone over infinite reasons why we should or should not take a course of action, and never actually take a course of action."
"Just... give me a phaser. I'll go take care of it."

Nothing can replace a precious pet that has been lost, but between Ragnar and Freja, I am feeling comfort over losing Squeeks. They are so alive and honestly are the sweetest kittens I've ever seen.
This was Ragnar, waiting outside my brother's room and catching some sunlight in the hall. He graciously allowed me to capture several fairly decent shots of him. Kittens in motion aren't an easy thing to grab, and he doesn't stay still for long!
Of the two, Rags is definitely the little lover. He has to cuddle and be on me. The jealousy between him and Barrymore is already setting in, and Ragnar took his first swipe at poor More-More yesterday! He still has claws, but Barrymore doesn't, so I'm hoping he doesn't realize it! He's growing rapidly, and with size comes threat.
Freja, on the other hand, is quick as lightning, but smaller than her brother. I can tell I'm going to have a whole lot more pics of him through the years, simply because he's calmer, especially with a full tummy!
In 1993 Hallmark produced the USS Enterprise-D ornament based on the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation. This starship was the flagship of the Federation and commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
Of course this is hanging on my Star Trek Christmas Tree.

Sir Patrick Stewart's Locutus of Borg headpiece as seen at 'Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds' at MoPop (Museum of Pop Culture) in Seattle, Washington.
If you enjoy my photography, please consider buying me a coffee. Thank you for your support.
This adorable little one and her sibling are the newest generation of cheetahs at Busch Gardens, Tampa. They have captured the hearts of their human caregivers....and mine as well. Although I wish they could be in their natural habitat, they do have a lovely and spacious home here as well as the assurance that, unlike their many brothers in the wild, they have the chance to safely grow to adulthood and help preserve a severely endangered species.
For Christmas 2012 I decided it was time for my Star Trek starship ornaments to get their own tree. The list of ships includes the original Enterprise, the shuttlecraft Galileo, the Next Generation Enterprise, Deep Space Nine's Defiant, and Voyager. And of course the tree is topped with Ilia from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Acting Ensign Wesley Crusher, as portrayed by Wil Wheaton.
No props, if anyone has any ideas, please suggest in the comments. Perhaps a PADD?
So this has been a long time coming. I've had this built for years but never got around to posting it because... Well I have no good reason. But here she is, the Galaxy Class Starship, the most famous of which was the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D under the command of Jean-Luc Picard. It's certainly a large ship, clocking in at just under 643 meters long, and personally, this is my favourite of the Starfleet vessels.
And, of course, this model is EXACTLY 1701 pieces, just to let you all know.
A ground up rebuild of my previous enterprise - the Size is the exact same, but only a handful of pieces from the engines carry over. Given Patrick Stewart's new announcement of his return to the character, and my name, it felt fitting I return and fix up the problems I had with my Galaxy Class. In particular, the saucer separation plane is more accurate now (and much wider), and I used some isometric images to get all the pieces properly measured and proportioned. I also had started rewatching TNG for the first time in six or so years about a week ago, which is what really got me started (I could not have finished this in the short time since Patrick Stewart's announcement!).
I just finished this mosaic of Patrick Stewart (AKA Captain Picard). I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. I still have to tile a section for him to sign but otherwise it is finished. He will be attending Emerald City Comic Con and I hope to get it signed there.
Lil Penny: Bo and Luke Duke! Man, how many deputies did you have to outrun to get here?
Bo: Ha! We straightened a few curves.
Luke: Flattened a few hills.
Lil Penny: You ready to get ta grillin?
Bo: Are we ever!
Luke: We're going with a rack of ribs.
Bo: And this here is our family dry rub. We call it Hazzard Gunpowder.
Lil Penny: Mm-MM! I know that's gotta be good!
Luke: We'll dry roast some corn on the cob and this is gonna be a down-home Hazzard feast.
More custom Microfighters, this time Star Trek, The Next Generation.
Includes the Enterprise D, Romulan Warbird, Klingon Vor'cha class cruiser, and a Borg cube.
Built to 12x12 stud max size like the others.
The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, or at least it's 'drive' section crash lands in the snowy mountains of planet Andoria. I believe a certain young ensign was piloting the ship at the time.
This is a Hot Wheels die-cast model of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D. It's about 5" long and comes with the saucer section; but I figured if it crashed landed that they might have had enough time to separate before they hit the planets atmosphere.
