Artist Stan Brooks’ sculpture, The Nest, is built of wood recycled from Shetland’s Sullum Voe oil terminal. The Nest is in Maryculter Woods, Aberdeenshire, and intended as a home for insects and other woodland wildlife.

There was a time when I couldn't abide anything Christmas before Thanksgiving. Now, it seems the weeks fly by so quickly that December 25th comes and goes in the blink of an eye.
So when the invitation for an open house at a local boutique announced their hours last night and today, I ventured out!
