Just a quick snap of her - I totally forgot I had this wig and it's even more perfect for her than the brown one! I can't believe I didn't think of it before.
I love it when a doll's look comes together in an unexpected way :)

...on a canvas.
...these seven singing boats are carrying the notes of Bach's 1st Symphony, as printed on the vintage pages of my mother's piano book back in 1962.
...loving crafting and paper crafts, she donated me two of her books some months ago.
Thanks to lovely, talented and creative Smaranda, who also played with music sheets recently creating beautiful butterflies, I thought of a new paper to be making paper boats with, other than newspaper pages in favorite shades and tones , also holding a special, personal importance.
Thank you mother and thank you Smaranda :)
To both of you and all dear flickfriends here:
May your weekends be filled with the nicest of musical symphonies
....and if there's not a particular one you like currently....write your own! :)

I just really liked the dark rims around the mid section and the bottom of the lil' rosetta at the top. Almost nailed it....
French postcard by Media Comm +, no. F.K. 34. Robert Redford in The Natural (Barry Levinson, 1984).
With his all-American good looks, Robert Redford (1936-2025), who died today, was one of the biggest Hollywood stars of the 1970s. In classics such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), The Sting (1973), and All the President's Men (1976), he portrayed the intelligent, reliable, and sometimes sardonic good guy. He received two Oscars: one in 1981 for directing Ordinary People, and one for Lifetime Achievement in 2002. In 2010, the actor, director, producer, businessman, environmentalist, philanthropist, and co-founder of the Sundance Film Festival was appointed Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur in France. Redford was 89.

Steve, our tour guide, knows trains!
1930s Mount Baxter restored parlor coach used in the filming of The Natural with Robert Redford and Paul Newman. Steve told the group I was sitting in the same seat as Redford. I felt ever-so-slightly wealthier.
This is like flying First Class. The rest of the group was stuffed into Coach, partitioned behind this area. No seatbelts or drop-down oxygen masks. Just heavy coal smoke?
The bench seat leanback Steve is resting his hand on is of interest to me. I believe it's covered in Angora goat mohair fabric (warm in winter and cool in summer) – used in many closed automobiles built through the 1940s, including my 1931 Model A Ford two-door. A more upscale seat covering would have been leather. Vinyl had yet to be invented.
