Skellig Rocks, County Kerry, Ireland
Skellig Michael has risen to dramatic prominence due to its starring role as Luke Skywalker’s Island Sanctuary on the planet Ahch-To in both Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.
A long time ago in a toy box far, far away....
Fine art prints are available to order via my website:
The Skellig Islands are 2 uninhabited, rocky islets off the southwestern coast of Ireland. Skellig Michael is known for its well-preserved early Christian monastery. The site, reached by steep steps, includes stone beehive-shaped huts, oratories and crosses. Thousands of puffins breed on Skellig Michael during the warmer months. To the northeast, the island of Little Skellig is home to a large colony of gannets.
The islands have now been plucked from relative obscurity to appear in the latest Star Wars films - The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

Unbeknownst to Rey, Chewie returned to Ahch-To. Several times, in fact. Resistance was a word that didn't apply to roasted porg, it was way too delicious to resist.
This sight was the stuff of nightmares to the porgs.

Easily the best part about this show... Which in truth is not a bad show.
UPDATE: Version 2.0 + instructions coming to BrickVault sometime in the foreseeable future
A fourth build (or simply figures?) in anticipation for the Last Jedi! Check out the album.
First time experimenting with rain...I'm sure I'll get better!
Enjoy these figures. :)

Through the creations that I build, I hope to inspire other young (or perhaps older) builders to unleash their inner creativity. We all need a positive way to express ourselves, so let's allow LEGO® to be that extension. Your imagination belongs to you, and nobody can take that away. Creativity never ends!
I want to apologize for being very inconsistent with posting. School has started back up and I don't have as much free time anymore, but I still enjoy seeing everybody's content and hoping to post more in the future.
Also I am working on making my own MOC right now so time is going into that also. I will hopefully be ready to share some details soon because I'm pretty excited about it and haven't seen many like it from any other Lego MOC producers.
And a little info relating to this pic: I made this a couple days after I saw TLJ for the first time and before I saw it a second time so I didn't realize that Luke was actually levitating his body instead of the rock. I'll make a shot of the real version in the future, but I do enjoy this one and I really thought including the force ghosts would add a little uniqueness to the photo. I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning to this new year.
God bless and may the force be with you!
Fun fact, I spent days working on a BB-8 trashcan disquise. I first started with a large scale can for the BB-8 flashlight, which didn't work out. Then, I make numerous attempts at small scale builds. All that effort, and did you even notice BB-8 in the photo at all? I suppose that is a good thing if you didn't. Means his disguise worked ;)
Think you can recognize/guess his face?
Keep in touch with me on my Instagram @phil_korn and Facebook Page.
I've been working on updating this figure for the last while. The arms and legs are just place holders but I would be interested to hear people's opinions on the torso/hips decals (front&back).
I think it is quite an improvement since my last version www.flickr.com/photos/jamesbrick/24079971045/in/album-721...
which had the inaccurate colors.
Anyways if you like it or have any ideas you would like to share I would be happy to hear from you in the comments!

Another shot I've been wanting to tackle for some time. Tried a bunch of times to catch a reflection of a sparkler in the windows, but it wasn't working out. Plus, I was afraid if I kept trying I was going to burn the house down. Ended up resoring to a flashlight with a orange gel and a crumpled up plastic bag.
After dabbling into whatifs designs (here and there) I decided to go back to a more canon version of the iconic snubfighter. Also I needed the challenge.
Seeing how many great T-65 there has been in the past months I do not see how I could add anything to a Lego 'classic' X-wing as of today. And the split wing idea proved too enticing anyway :)
Interestingly enough, the starting point of those three models is exactly the same combination of 5 parts : two curved slopes and wedge bricks to make up the rear section of the fuselage.
I still consider it a WIP of kinds or at least an early prototype. There still room for a lot of tweaking and tinkering. And at the same time this is showable enough. Plus I just reckon this is the right time of the year ;)
I don't think the spliting wings have ever been done this exact way : it has pros and cons obviously but I'm really curious about how you guys feel about it.
Some credits are due to atlas_er for I originally replicated his solution for engine cowlings before eventually going on a slightly different path. But more importantly for making me want to build my own T-70 :]
Another batch of figures for the Last Jedi! The Praetorian Guards are the mysterious new warriors we see that directly serve Supreme Leader Snoke. I'm very intrigued by these guys, so I hope you enjoy this quick "figbarf," I guess you could say, that I did while making my Knights of Ren yesterday.
Haven't seen anyone else do these guys yet...so I wanted to get them uploaded! Sorry for not including a more exciting scene.
Check out the album.
May the Force be with you, always.

Built this way back when The Last Jedi came out but never took photos of it. Built it really to test the snot technique. Hope you guys like it.

The Last Jedi, Así trabajamos en el taller de fotografía digital básico, Nezahualcóyotl, México By joel Lugo A.K.A. Ockesaid
So I decided to work on Luke & was hoping to get them done before the movie came out, that didn't happen. So here we are!
If any of you are wondering, yes I am making more characters from the movie.
His staff is just made of a Lego rod or bar whichever you prefer. I sanded the end of it and sculpted on the top of it and painting it tan.
I use procreate for my sculpting material.
The hair and the beard are made out of procreate.
The base of the hair is a Mutt Williams hairpiece & the head is a clone trooper head, which I erase the eyebrows and mouth and painted my own.
The Poncho's made out of CapeMadness fabric which I cut and glued together & painted.
With gloved hand I sculpted with procreate on the wrist & painted it brown.
The coat is a CapeMadness trench coat that I cut & resized how I want it. The waist cape is a CM waist cape that I cut and painted. The fabric on the Torso is from CM. The belt is made of E tape & the belt buckle was sculpted out of procreate.
Everything else was painted.
So let me know what you think?
“No cost has been spared to build Torra Doza a state-of-the-art ship, a bright blue-hued custom creation. Regarded for its aerodynamic design and artistic elements that match her personality and racing style, her #5 racer was built for speed.”

Ah yes, the space Porsche 917K that has been the source of my headaches for the past six weeks.
I really wanted to build this starfighter, but at the same time I did not want to build it because at the time I had no idea how I would achieve the curved front with the “Porsche headlights” and the rounded wings.
Six weeks of tinkering with all sorts of LEGO bricks and building techniques imaginable, I managed to capture its unique shape with clever solutions using Mixel joints and Technic panels.
I never thought Technic panels and normal bricks would look good together, but in this case they’re almost seamless thanks to many curved slope bricks LEGO has produced in the past few years.
I’m curious to how LEGO will tackle this beautiful fighter, if they ever decide to make a playset of it.

MALIN HEAD | IRELAND
One of the locations "STAR WARS - The Last Jedi" was filmed. On that far ridge you have to imagine the Millenium Falcon and Chewbacca waving. :)
They actually re-build the whole falcon there for the set. The people there wanted to keep it after filming ended, but weren't allowed. But you can still find a lot of Star Wars around that area. For example a street named R2D2.
C'mon, you knew it was coming, right? I had to build one of these little guys.
Very proud of how he came together. I experimented with different techniques, and tried to work on shaping.
Stay tuned for more Star Wars builds! :)

“A decrepit racing ship that earns its colorful name Fireball due to its tendency to erupt in flames, this sleek vessel is a focus of constant and sometimes frustrated attention from the repair crew of Jarek Yeager’s garage. Team Fireball invests a lot of time, effort, and care into keeping the Fireball in high-flying shape.”
~ Star Wars databank
Influenced by World War II planes combined obscure starfighter designs from the old X-wing, TIE Fighter, and The Old Republic games, the Fireball is one of the best looking starfighters in all of Star Wars.
I am a bit upset that LEGO did not make an official model of the Fireball... yet. I hope they do in the future. This prompted me to design my own version, and it turned out more complex than I anticipated.
But I like to build things to be a perfect match, which makes things complicated and challenging. I exhausted my brain to apply all kinds of building techniques to convey the complex shape of this ship. There are also some really ancient and obscure LEGO Technic pieces utilized in the complexity of this model.

Where would The Last Jedi have taken us if Ben and Rey teamed up? Imagine that show down with Luke? Maybe we find out that Rey is Snoke's daughter, and as soon as he turns her to the Dark Side, she kills him and takes her place along side Ben.
Ok so the jacket is made from a CapeMadness trench coat which I cut up to the shape I wanted then I used some e tape and some procreate to make the parts that stick out on the jacket.
I use some more e tape to make the straps that are on the sleeves the jacket. The holster and belt buckle are also electrical tape.
Everything you see on the figure except the face was painted while watching Black Mirror!
So let me know what you think!
The head is the new Kylo head all I did was I scratched out the scar with an exacto knife and painted the scar in a darker red.
The lightsaber is made out of the Lego cross guard blade, I took a Lego rod to extend the handle then I took an exacto knife to the blade to make a jagged, I use procreate to sculpt on all the other details you see on there, painted it up and then sealed it with some model Masters gloss.
The tunic on the torso is made from a CapeMadness trench coat, the belt is made out of e tape the belt buckles is procreate, I also sculpted with procreate around the wrist.
Everything except the faces painted.
So let me know what you think!
The third of several Last Jedi MOCs I have planned. ;) Check out the album.
Meant to go along with my Nano AT-ST that I built around this time last year. If you didn't already see, I do now have a breakdown of the AT-ST model.
Enjoy!
