The South Fork of the South Branch of the Chicago River is best known by the name popularized in Upton Sinclair's The Jungle. View to the north from W. 35th Street, just west of S. Racine Avenue. The former Albert Pick Company warehouse - now the Bridgeport Art Center and other entities - is on the east bank.
It was the first week of school after summer and some knuckle heads do a drive by on a group of teens walking down the street across from Crenshaw High. Two were hit but thankfully no one was killed.
The cowardly perpetrators that shot this young man don't need a reason.... Pay back.... mistaken identity.... wearing the wrong colors.... walking by your self..... walking in a group.....maybe he looked like a rival... so lets just Blast him any way..... what you looking at?..... hey lets not forget the young deaf woman and young deaf man that were gunned down when they were signing one another because the dumb ass thug thought they were throwing up gang signs. Our justice system is too slow, we need to execute these cold blooded murderers, execute them even if their victim lives so they can't contaminate the rest of the planet, OHH I'm sorry did I say something politically incorrect? Ask me if I care.

The word is someone has a deathwish and shot at a patroling L. A. County Sheriff's car off of Crenshaw on some side street. Don't know the rest of the story. LAPD & L.A. Unified School Dist. Police gave back up.

"you don't belong here" is all I remember them saying. We didn't stay long. I'd like to thank my buddy Craig for allowing me to use his prime for this shot.

Jack suddenly awakens and starts wondering why grass is yellow, seat-cushion made and photoshopped.

Luang Prabang, Laos
The famous waterfall area.
Without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I have EVER swam in.
It literally took my breath away.
I can't wait to go back.
I plan to.
“When the going gets tough, I'm not always sure what you do. I'm not saying that I know how to fix everything when the going gets tough, but I do know this: when the going goes tough, you don't quit. And you don't fold up. And you don't go in the other direction.”
-- John Madden (American football coach and sports commentator in the National Football League [NFL])
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
As many of you already know we're at The Spirit House.
Which is located at the south end of The Monkey Temple.
If you need, get out your no# 2 pencil and paper notebook.
After consuming all the cheese filled hotdogs, which takes
sometime to do, then the feed bag is laid out for everyone.
Now this next part is quite important, good time to take notes. ...................................................................................................................
Mama and only Mama eats from the feed bag first, always !
When she has eaten her fill then it's Rockys turn to fill up.
Rocky's always second, that never changes , never ever.
Then Little Stubby's up to bat. She nibbles her fill then
hands the feed bag over to Legs The Zoomer who
is always last but not least. This is their way of
paying respect to The Queen of The Jungle.
While each dog has their head in the feed bag my hands
are constantly rubbing their ears and sticking my fingers
into their mouth. This activity insures that they always
know who is actually the real boss. Never ever
do you bite the hand that feeds you ......;-)
When this event starts to wind down we all take off
for The Nuns Place. Upon our arrival the nuns once
again have colored coded dog bowls out filled with
fresh kibble for all the dogs to eat from..... Now FYI:
The dogs don't care what color the bowl is that they
eat from as long as there's kibble in it. Furthermore
the bowls and of course the kibble all comes from
your caring donations. From the nuns the next stop
is always with The Hooligans then back to the bingo
room situated on the first floor at The Dog Palace......
Older photos are currently being used as no# 1 and
I are dealing with some issues that are preventing
us from getting out to the temple dogs right now.
Hopefully that will be changing sometime next week.
Don't worry all the temple dogs are well taken care of.
In the meantime enjoy the show ..................... ;-)~~~~
Thank You.

The Seattle skyline with the I-5/I-90 Interchange snaking around downtown Seattle shot on a night after a crazy week of snow and tons of rain. This well known view was shot from Dr. José Rizal Park, named after the Philippines' national hero, on Beacon Hill.

Another journey day today as we stop off in Kendal for a couple of nights on our way home. As a result it's another relatively simple pic for today.

Inside the magnificent Mark Twain House & Museum
"The library mantel is the focal point of the room where Clemens recited poetry, told stories and read excerpts from his new works to his family and friends. Sam and Livy purchased the large oak mantelpiece from Ayton Castle in Scotland specifically for their library. The Mitchell-Innes family crest appears on the overmantel, as well as the year '1874', an alteration made by Sam to reflect the year his family moved into their Hartford home. Sam also added a brass smoke shield with the inscription 'The ornament of a house is the friends who frequent it,' a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson."
Even for the toughest 4x4 this is a challenge.

Inside the beautiful Mark Twain House in Hartford, CT. The conservatory as seen from the library.
"Like many upper-class late Victorian homes‚ the Clemens home had a conservatory. Theirs had a fountain and was filled with lush‚ thriving plants. Clemens daughters Susy‚ Clara and Jean called this room 'The Jungle.'
You can now purchase the digital, colour version of ‘The Jungle’ which features an alternative ending from the original black and white, print version.
