Day 4 Shimmer. Struggled with this one. Not crazy about the composition but I think I accomplished showing that the shoes really are glittery and shimmer in light.
My daily routine always seems to involve the river in some way, much like the city of London itself. Whether I'm crossing it on the river boat (captured above in the light trails) to get to work, or running along the Thames path at the weekend, the river somehow manages to find a way impact my day to day life.
I wish for.. the talent and skill to be able to take photos like this.... oh, wait :P #humblebrag
I read a great article recently, which resonated with me - the key quote for me was:
"Life isn’t a series of five-year plans, it’s a series of small moments. I’ve found that if I can enjoy the little things, if I can find something to enjoy every day, it makes tomorrow that much easier to face."
I wish for finding something I can enjoy every day, like the beautiful moments above, where I can look in the viewfinder of my camera and get that moment of joy when I realise I've got the capture I never thought I was capable of photographing.

I wasn't happy with my light trails photo outside St Paul's a couple of days ago, and was convinced I could do much better. Interestingly I've also taken a similar photo to this one outside Bank, some years ago. I like to think there's been a lot of progress!

We had a walk around Greenbooth Reservoir today. This little doggy was having fun splashing in the water.
Happy Saturday everyone.
Focus was a little off on this shot, and to be honest, my heart wasn't in it. Shoes just aren't interesting to shoot!
The idea was there - the tide was out so there was a bit of room on the riverside to jump down and try a few shots, but I did end up slipping and introducing my phone screen to a rock.
Alas, not my best shot, but something to improve on in the future!
