The Joy Theater this is a vintage 1950s movie theater that is now a Little Theater for performing arts, original sign is very unique, found in North Carolina.

I posted a phone photo of this last week but I so prefer this film shot that I just had processed and scanned, I felt the need to be repetitive.

Het Chassé Theater is een groot theater in de binnenstad van Breda, naast de oude Kloosterkazerne. Het theater is vernoemd naar de legerofficier David Hendrik Chassé. Het is gehuisvest in een modern gebouw met een opvallend golvend dak naar een ontwerp van Herman Hertzberger, dat uit 1995 dateert. Het theater bestaat uit drie theaterzalen, drie filmzalen en drie restaurants. Het theater ontvangt jaarlijks zo'n 400.000 bezoekers. Voorloper van het Chassé Theater was de Stadsschouwburg Concordia.

Hadrian's Villa comprised about 30 structures spread over a square kilometer or about 250 acres. The maritime theater is called a villa within a villa and was a private get away for the emperor.

One structure in the villa is the so-called "Maritime Theatre". It consists of a round portico with a barrel vault supported by pillars. Inside the portico was a ring-shaped pool with a central island. The large circular enclosure 40 metres (130 ft) in diameter has an entrance to the north. Inside the outer wall and surrounding the moat are a ring of unfluted Ionic columns. The Maritime Theater includes a lounge, a library, heated baths, three suites with heated floors, washbasin, an art gallery, and a large fountain During the ancient times, the island was connected to the portico by two wooden drawbridges. On the island sits a small domus, complete with an atrium, a library, a triclinium, and small baths. The area was probably used by the emperor as a retreat from the busy life at the court.[Wikipedia]

The Southern Theater was constructed in 1912-13 and was used both as a movie theater and live performance venue.

The architect was George Dieringer of Wheeling. The rectangular two-story

flat-roofed masonry building has a three-story fly loft and sits on a sandstone block foundation. The masonry walls

are faced with blond brick in the theater block and red brick at the fly loft, except for the eastern elevation of the fly

loft, which is concrete. The building features a pressed metal cornice, with egg and dart molding and ornate metal

brackets, which returns along the side elevations. The area above the cornice has been faced with vertical metal

siding. This area originally featured a parapet wall with center half-round arch and finials at the front fa ade. The

front (eastern) fa ade is symmetrical with five bays at the first story and seven bays at the second story. Tooled

sandstone blocks sit atop a sandstone water table that returns for one bay along the northern elevation. Yellow brick

is used decoratively at the front elevation. A soldier course of blond brick lined by yellow stretcher brick visually

divides the first and second stories. Two small gargoyles are located at the upper level near the cornice.
