This week's theme #10thFloor was made for us! We actually live in the 10th floor haha :D
If you pay attention to the middle of the image you can notice that both sides are the same picture because Ruh and I used the same window to create it hahah The idea is simple, imagine that we were in different apartments trying to touch each other. Hope you all enjoy! :)
A couple of young lovers enjoy the view at the Moravian city of Mikulov, as the sun slowly sets, from atop the nearby Svatý Kopeček (363m. How many floors would that be?).
I didn't dare bother them to ask if they could see any building with 10 floors or more from there...
Edit: Wow, can't believe I made it to Explored again! Thanks everybody!
for FlickrFriday: #The10thFloor
(Done on my phone while sick with a cold. So the execution is not nearly as nice as I'd like, but oh well..)
This is a column in the Temple of Karnak in Luxor, Egypt. The temple was huge!! And they have only found a small part of it, so how big is it, then? :0 but, have a nice day, everybody! :) #the10thfloor ©[http://www.flickr.com/photos/99933540@N05/]
Returning to your hometown after living for 10 years in a 2 Million City can be challenging. Even if your hometown has a university, hosted the Winter Olympics twice, the Youth Olimpics once and is a beautiful place in general. But sometimes it does feel like if you want to rise higher than a tenth floor-physically or mentally- you might have to search for your chances to do so or you need to climb one of the surrounding peaks, which we have plenty-by the way. So let me say this: Even a colorfull life needs a perspective :)
Picture for the Flickr Friday group theme on October 25th, 2013: The 10th Floor.
There is 101 floors of this building and I tried to be close to its 10th floor. If you are interested in its whole image, please see my previous upload as in the comment.

So this is my cheeky attempt at the FlickrFriday theme #The10thfloor. If I'm honest I took a bit of creative licence here as I wasn't actually on the 10th floor! (I was about 4 stories up - but hey I could've been on the 10th and used a zoom lens!) I thought it gave the same effect of being up high (maybe the 10th or even 4th floor!) and looking down on the world below. So I say c'mon Mr and Mrs Flickr leave it in the pool - photography is all about creative interpretations after all!
Now this FlickrFriday (No.40 - The 10th Floor) was a fun one!
The houses in our town are average 2-6 floors, but there are a handful of higher buildings from the early seventies.
Pretty weird to sneak in and search for motives! Finally this oldschool elevator caught my eye. It was build in 1972.
=> featured on FlickrBlog! Thank you!!!

Lo mismo de la anterior, para esta foto usamos papel celofán naranjo sobre el flash para darle ese color a la luz.
An old abandoned building in Osorno, Chile. It was supposed to be a hospital.
I used a speedlight 430 exii with orange cellophane paper on it to illuminate the building.

Plac Grunwaldzki - Grunwald Square - Kaiserstraße (Rondo Reagana - R. Reagan Roundabout)
Large square and important transit hub in Wroclaw. In the center of Grunwald square there is a "Rondo Reagana" (Ronald Reagan roundabout), biggest city transport hub in Wroclaw.
During the Siege and Battle of Breslau in 1945, the entire residential district along the Kaiserstraße (now Plac Grunwaldzki) was razed to construct a military airfield and most of historic buildings were demolished.
Category: public space/transport
Location: plac grunwaldzki, Wrocław, Poland
Built/renovation: 2006-2008
Architects (transport hub): ARMMs architecki - Paweł Mikołajczak, Arkadiusz Sumisławski
Follow me:
"Have you found it, girl?" the old man asked.
"No, Albretch. But I haven't tried the 10th fl..."
"You won't find it at the 10th floor," he interrupted.
Iva silently counted to 10, then asked what she knew she shouldn't ask.
"What will I find at the 10th floor..?"
"There is nothing at the 10th floor," Albretch sighed.

Inspired by the new flickr friday theme: "The 10th floor".
I know, this is probably the most twisted interpretation of the theme.
See, for me, photography is about story telling.
With every new theme, I begin with asking myself "What is...? What comes..? What do I find..?"
--> For example, with the last themes: what is at the roadside?, what comes after dark?...
Yesterday, I asked myself What is at the 10th floor?. And all I could come with was There is nothing at the 10th floor. This was the story I wanted to tell.
Then floors more or less became shelves, I more or less imagined a story between a little girl and an old man, I more or less decided to cage teddy in a jar. Please, don't ask me to explain everything ;)
If you find it bizarre... well, it's meant to be!
Thanks for reading :)
Happy happy weekend!
a modernist tower rises above Aspra Spitia, a town built in the 60's to house the aluminium industry's workers.
This photo was taken in the fall season of 2013. I went with a group of friends into a very different part of New Mexico that I had not seen yet. This place is Los Alamos, New Mexico where my friend who lived there described certain parts of the forest that had been damaged by fires when he was younger. Now about ten years later in his life, you can see from this photo the living trees (in yellow) emerge from the "dead".
