Nice to photograph a snow scene from my local wood. Intended to get up there for sunrise lol..getting two sunrises in one year a lot so three would be excessive I think..
We discovered the downside of having a Goldendoodle today......
I can only be glad it rarely snows in Nottingam ;)
The sunlight and the heater have to feel good on her old bones….. and now she’s gone off to other places
For Lynda & Tom Lynda Murtha PhotoArt ~ - wishing you many more years filled with early evening light, Tim's, soft Summer breezes off the lake... and each other. Happy Fence Friday, everyone, such a lovely group of far-flung friends we've created here. :)
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna tell everyone
To lighten up (I'm gonna tell 'em that)
I've got no one to blame
For every time I feel lame
I'm looking up
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna soak up the sun

{film} That photogenic cake again. We're done after this image, at least until I eat that cake again.

Fantastic afternoon checking out the Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP.
We noticed the skies looked a bit iffy, but we were determined to take the very scary road down to the bottom of the Canyon floor nonetheless.
Crazy signs basically saying, not for the faint of heart, no guardrails, must drive down in a lower gear. GREAT - lets do it.!!!
It was exhilarating!!!! and terrifying - and then the rains came and the temp dropped 20 degrees in about 10 min. We made it back up to catch this incredible site -.. we looked at one another and said - yup - lets go down again!!!!
That is roadtripping!
tuesday was a perfect day for a run. the air smelled green and fresh, and the trees down the street were blooming big, white flowers.
One more shot from Monday's sunset. Once the sun broke through, the light was intense, and unlike anything I'd seen before. I quickly tried to compose a shot to capture it, but didn't have much to work with other than our garden.
This was shot at 10mm, and I tried to shoot level to avoid distorting the geometry of the house much, but I ended up using photoshop's lens correction tool to correct the perspective anyway.
Oh, one more thing: I'm holding a big umbrella above my head during all this, as the rain was still falling. At 10mm, I had to extend my arm about as high above my head as possible to avoid getting the umbrella in the shot.

Early morning, golden light at Hyde Park / The Serpentine, London, UK.
Funny story: later, while packing my tripod, a gentleman approached me and asked me how many fish had I gotten!

We stopped and stared, arrested by the light that stretched forth fingers into the sea and we could only imagine what was illumined therein - sharks and whales, treasure and terror, and everything in between.
Spent a great afternoon hanging out at Zink Motor Company in Appleton City, Missouri; looking at all their historic treasures.
What a great bunch of folks! Thanks for the tour, the history, the answers to my endless questions and all the time you spent entertaining a stranger who just dropped in unannounced.
Here's a pair of Model T's in the original, upstairs garage of their 1916-vintage Ford dealership.
