My last seagull pic prompted a few questions about textures and which ones I'm using, so I thought I'd post another shot of my "kitchen."

You can see that I'm actually using three textures, and two to three layers of each, which I've blended in and out using masks and various overlay modes.

The post processing on this one got pretty extensive - about 24 layers (including 8 texture layers, 3 high-pass layers, and 9 adjustment layers). Fun!! :)

Texture from a New Orleans tomb

I've only just got round to processing these in-camera multiples from a wonderful day with Doug Chinnery and Valda Bailey in Kew Gardens, trying out the new Canon EOS R. This is the sculpture "Leaf Spirit" overlaid with one of the myriad spiky plants in the Princess of Wales Conservatory.

She was wearing the most enchanting green dress, like a petal.

Someone had give it to her.

She looked like a pixie.

I liked her panache in wearing it on a Monday -

not for her the Sunday or party dress.

Texture from a wall on Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine Florida. This wall has been standing here since 1695 after a 23 year construction to upgrade the original wooden fort which was built in 1565. I love how rich the history is there, even though some of it is pretty brutal.
