squazle: It's actually quite easy when you get going and get your head around it, it takes a lot of wool, 12 balls gave a blanket about 2ftx3ft. You do a foundation chain then work back into it on each row but it's all treble crochet stitches in multiples of five and two. If you google crocodile stitch you should find some examples and tutorials. It's a very effective looking stitch and it's heavy and warm you should give it a go it is surprisingly easy once you get your first row done, let me know if you give it a shot x
