Textile design created by LeslieStansberry during textile workshop at The San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles.
Moulding is Cascade by Larson Juhl. The mat is New Threads by Bainbridge with a one inch deep standing back. The textile is sewn to the mat with black cotton thread. Traditional rustic style.
Trying out different colours and effects. I think this technique is very precise which is great for getting delicate things onto fabrics but I personally prefer to use messier processes as it creates a unique surprise to every outcome.

This and the dragon used to be part of a kimono that was disintegrating from age. I salvaged the beautiful embroidery and framed it for the wall.

Textiles in three colors (red, dark blue, white) woven by Paula del Cerro using Theo Moorman’s inlay technique to create geometric shapes with horizontal and vertical edges. The square napkins measure about sixteen inches on a side. The designs were generated with software written by Paul Hertz. Each of the designs represents a moment in a cyclic transform along a space-filling curve.
