This is our upper pond that sits close to the house. It is the view we get from our back deck. Do we get "skeeters" in the summer?? Yes.. Is it worth it for the rest of the year? Yes!! I love all the seasonal changes at the pond.

That is my philosophy. The grass is greener on my side of the fence. I'm not one to wish I was on the other side. I'm happy where I am and grateful for what I have and how I can live. I do not envy others. Except for maybe for someone that has a camera lens I want and can't afford!!! 😂 Or my Flickr' Friend Randy E. Crisp's Hummingbird Photo!!!!

Actually the hot weather has broken and it's quite lovely here now. Our meadow made it through the hot weather and remains green and beautiful. Before long the trees will be full of color.

Our sunrise this morning was simple. Not real dramatic but the colors were beautiful. Along with the very light ground fog it was so pretty to see.

Turkey Vultures appear to spread their wings for at least two reasons: (1) to dry feathers, and (2) to ameliorate the thermal gradient between themselves and their environment, although the two functions are not mutually exclusive

These guys have been in the neighbors field eating dead water moccasins that were were killed when the field was mowed.
