Like the definition of lonely, these old homestead buildings stand in the middle of a huge field of tumbleweeds, with the Tetons towering behind them in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

The amazing view of the Grand Teton Range from the Jackson Lake Lodge. The Lodge sits on a natural bluff overlooking Jackson Hole and the Teton Range. The Teton Range is a mountain range of the Rocky Mountains in North America. It extends for approximately 40 miles (64 km) in a north–south direction through the U.S. state of Wyoming. It's south of Yellowstone National Park and most of the east side of the range is within Grand Teton National Park.

A shot of one of the farmhouses on Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park just before sunset. I think Grand Teton is maybe my favorite National park so far. It is far less crowded than most and yet has some of the most beautiful and accessible views. There are definitely some areas of the park that get crowded at times but nothing compared to many of the other parks.
with this iconic building in the plains of Grand Teton, i am back home and on flickr again. Please give me time to comment your great works..... after more than 4 weeks off...... it will take some time to totally be back again.

Sunrise in the Tetons is one of my favorite things to see. This time of year the horses are out in pasture and the colors were incredible and had the added bonus of a passing storm! Once again this is a multiple image stitch and no filters at all. I could watch these mountains all day everyday!
