Location: Strijp-S, a beautiful atmospheric location, which makes you a great photographer. When it comes to using colors, textures, lines, reflections and reflections. Is this a great location to make beautiful photos.
As more and more new buildings are being built, with other building materials being used more and more, this gives me the opportunity to build a certain atmosphere.
A large part of the picture contains similar color tones, with Art Nayoan's face getting even better.

Zaventem (Belgium) lighting test with Erika
I wanted to check out some setups in my ministudio, so I asked my friend/muse/model Erika to pose for me.

LIGHTING INFO:
This picture is lit with just a medium softbox on a studio strobe to camera left (almost next to the model for hight contrast). Triggered with Pocketwizards.No complicated lighting setup at all but I'm still pretty new to studio photography and I'm trying to get the details right.
Testshoot today with this beautiful redhead. She'll be my model, lately I've been so into fine art, I want to experiment with that. Luckily the weather is slowly improving so hopefully we'll be shooting outdoors for that.

LIGHTING INFO:
This picture is lit with just a medium softbox on a studio strobe to camera right, about 1 meter behind the model. This kind of light defines shapes very well. I think it workes fine here, but you have to be carefull on who you use it on. Somebody with a less perfect shape might not like it when you put the accent on a boxers nose or something.
Triggered with Pocketwizards. No complicated lighting setup at all but I'm still pretty new to studio photography and I'm trying to get the details right.

Taken at a recent model session with Katie, MM 1498788 - worked with Katie at a lighting class, taught by Scott, a few months ago, we finally had a chance to shoot outside for some much needed practice by me.

I did it, I bought a Hasselblad 500 c/m camera. Not for work, but for fun, learning and taking a dip into the rich history of photography. My lovely wife was so kind to pose for me (I should photograph her more often).
This is shot with natural light and the 80mm lens on f/2.8. I used Ilford HP5 plus (400iso). The scan isn't very good since I used a very old Epson 1240U flatbed scanner. On top of that I couldn't found the MF film holder. Some of the scans are pretty distorted from just laying the film on the (dirty) scanner. But hey, it's a testshoot and I had fun. Played around with the curves a bit and removed some dust in Photoshop.

Pentacon Six TL w/ Carl Zeiss Jena Biometar 120mm f/2.8 and Kodak Tri-X 400TX (Kodak HC-110 dil. B, Ilford rapid fixer). f/8, 1/60s. Epson V600 and EpsonScan @ 4800 dpi, downsized to 2400 dpi. Retouched and cropped.
I really like how Tri-X in combination with HC-110 brings out the glow of the model's dark complexion.
I definitely prefer the look of HC-110 over D76 (1:1) when it comes to Tri-X. That HC-110 is a liquid and last forever is also two big benefits. Not saying that D76 goes bad quickly, or can't be used when it looks discoloured.

in Holland we have a site called: hyves. all normal young people have his own page on this site. You've also a photo on your site. At a day, i get an email from a modelscout. she asked me if i wanted to do a testshoot for being a model. ofcours i said YES! and these photos are the result.
