Test strip, portrait at tungsten street lights, f/2.8 1/60. Development started at 68˚F and ended after 2 hours at 65˚F due to wrong temperature control setting.
My friend Raad stands on top of an old hut built on the peak of Mt. Adams. Now dilapidated and filled with snow and ice, it makes a decent spot to sit down off of the snow after summiting. The sky at that elevation takes on a very dark blue hue, very cool! Elev. 12,280 feet. Washington, USA.
Shortly before he took off, I got this picture of him testing his wings. He did fly off so I hope he will be okay. At least he didn't get stepped on or swept away by a broom!
I just tested the Nikon V1 + FT1 adapter + Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 AF-S VRII (handheld) in the garden. This shot was made at 200mm f/2.8 which, with the 2.7 crop factor of the CX sensor, is equivalent to a shot made with a 540mm f/2.8. This shot is only very little cropped, with basic exposure and contrast adjustments.
Testing my Tokina ATX 100 mount to D3100. Its coupled well.
The bit grainy LCD display is just not enough for me to view the shots taken. The best good thing is its light weight...

Test Tokina ATX 100 ma monture au D3100. Son couplé bien.
Le bit d'affichage LCD est granuleuse tout simplement pas
So there's some funny cropping on this camera as you can see. The final image is almost square within the whole frame.
There's actually more sharpness and detail than I expected, but ultimately this demonstrates why I'd not use this camera for regular shooting. Not consistent enough, and the camera isn't close to as easy to use as my Nikon F.
Willie Wouldhave tested his lifeboat model at South Shields beach in 1789. His friend and collaborator W A Hails wrote that the model was unsinkable and self righting. The model lifeboat in South Shields museum is almost certainly not Wouldhave's model as it is not self righting. This model was made from Hails description and it performed well in the test showing great stability and the ability to surf down waves as well as being self righting in all conditions.
People have said and I agree
these are sometimes like Rorschach tests
the difference is they don't evaluate anything
we're all Rorschachs to ourselves and others
even if we see with perfect clarity
all photos handheld and unaltered - click for larger - taken upside down and rotated
I just received a new lens, the Tokina 100mm Macro for Canon which is a long-time dream lens of mine.
And here comes the first test.
Left to right: original image @f/4, image with saturation lowered and image with saturation boosted.
All editing were done in DDP. Resized by Photoshop CS4
Testing the background light. Cheers!
