Karol Scheibler's Chapel - a tombstone chapel-mausoleum located in the Old Cemetery at ul. Ogrodowa in Łódź, in its Evangelical-Augsburg part. Completed in 1888 according to the design by Edward Lilpop and Józef Dziekoński. It is one of the greatest works of cemetery architecture in the world and a testimony to the unprecedented development of Łódź in the 19th century.
Overgrown with vines. It’s chimney collapsed. This old prairie sentinel still stands tall as a testimony to the richness of the Illinois soils that made it possible.
Busseto, from the tenth century, was part of the state of Pallavicino, the first testimony dates back to the era of Adalbert, the founder of the family, who in 985 rebuilt the walls and built the fortress for about five hundred years later the capital of what became known as the "Pallavicino State".
Wandern im Wental auf der Schwäb. Alb
Hiking in the Wental.
A unique natural landscape that was formed around 150 million years ago.
The Wental stretches across the Essingen district on the Alb plateau, southeast of the neighboring municipality of Bartholomä, and into the Steinheim Basin. This unique natural landscape was created from the riverbed of the Wedel watercourse. When the Jurassic Sea receded and the Alb began to karstify around 150 million years ago, the watercourse ate deeper and deeper into the rock until it completely disappeared. What remained was the Wental and the strangely shaped dolomite rocks. They are an impressive testimony to the power of water. These rustic and bizarre rock formations extend across almost the entire Wental. However, they are concentrated in the area of the rock sea, creating the impression of a veritable flood of different rock formations.

Look over yonder,
Apollo at a distance
You can hear his music
if you listen to the wind
I want to be there -
I want to be right there
I want to see it
with my own eyes
Bear witness,
I'm wailing like the wind
Come bear witness,
the half-breed rides again
In these hands,
I've held the broken dream
In my soul,
I'm howling at the moon
Testimony, testimony
Declare yourself - I will testify
Testimony, testimony
Speak the truth, I will testify
I had a revelation
like runaway horses
Took to the road
with a carnival show
Those golden days
on Smokey Mountain
Playing guitar
in a one man band
Bear witness,
I'm howling at the moon
Come bear witness,
I've danced among the ruins
In these shoes,
I've walked a crooked mile
All my life
I been searching for the nightbird
Testimony, testimony
Declare yourself - I will testify
Testimony, testimony
Speak the truth, I will testify
Are you ready to take the heat
Are you ready to blow the steam
Are you ready to bag the street
You got nothing to lose - but your chains
For forty days
and forty nights
I come across the desert
Apollo right by my side
Bear witness,
I'm wailing like the wind
Come bear witness,
the half-breed rides again
In these hands,
I've held the broken dream
In my soul,
I'm howling at the moon
Whatever special lens are used, and however the subject is thereby distorted, the camera only knows how to relate things directly....The photographer’s whole job is to filter this off by one of two methods. The alternatives are the record and the testimony :-)

Have a wonderful week, my friend.

I will never see you tamed even if you feel the howl is over of your incessant song and know that within your cry it will always be that gesture of mine that you deplore.
I will never feel more for you than I feel for myself
and there are things inside this love things that could make us wake up nudes and children again.
Deliver us from such horror. Because if I had to return I would choose this house, because if I had to die again I would choose your mind as an epitaph and testimony. I'm not going to say here what I didn't say then, and I will regret that.

Christian Movie | Gospel Movie Clip "Yearning" (4) - Is the Kingdom of Heaven in Heaven or on Earth?
Many people who have faith in the Lord believe that the kingdom of heaven is in heaven. Is this really the case? The Lord's Prayer says: "Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:9-10). The Book of Revelation says, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ" (Revelation 11:15). "The holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, … the tabernacle of God is with men" (Revelation 21:2-3). So, is the kingdom of heaven in heaven or on earth?

The former Fleetwood radar training station served for decades as a base for coastal masters and crews to train in the latest radar technology.
Built in 1961, the Grade II Listed edifice stands next to the town's Victorian lighthouse near to Fleetwood Promenade, and is a single storey, oval building with a reinforced concrete, flat roof. Raised above the level of high tide, the old radar station also has framed timber windows, a timber floor and door, and can be accessed by steps from Fleetwood Promenade.
Historic England has praised its 'elegant, modern design' and highlighted that the two buildings show 'the history of communications side by side.' Similar accolades include a 1965 Civic Trust Commendation, which singled it out as a 'modest yet dramatic little building' and the art historian and architect, Sir Nikolaus Pevsner, called it 'a cute little piece.'
The historic building was built by Lancashire County Council's architects in 1961, and it was transferred to Blackpool and the Fylde College in 1996 but is shortly to be assigned back to Lancashire County Council as the original leaseholder.
Some renovation is needed to restore the building to its former glory, and any future owner will be required to undertake such work and also apply to Wyre Borough Council to vary the covenant which stipulates its use as a Radar Instruction Centre. However, the building's iconic status and distinguished naval history have already sparked considerable interest locally.
County Councillor Alan Vincent, deputy leader of the council and cabinet member for resources, HR and property, said: "This little building forms an historic and attractive feature, and taken with the historic 1840 lighthouse, forms a vital testimony to Fleetwood's distinguished naval past as well as showing the history of naval communications in our midst in Lancashire.
"We hope that by placing this iconic building up for auction, an essential part of our region's wonderful marine history can be preserved for the future, along with Lancashire's distinguished legacy of naval communications in times gone by.
Rochefort-en-Terre is classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France and a Small Town of Character in Brittany.
The Breton city of Rochefort-en-Terre gives an impression of homogeneity despite the diversity of architectural trends expressed there: half-timbered houses, Gothic style buildings, Renaissance residences, classic hotels, 19th century architecture... It is the stone, omnipresent here, which forms the link between these different testimonies of History.
The Basilica of Esztergom holds many secrets and is a fascinating testimony of Hungarian history. The construction of the imposing building took 54 years and was shaped by three famous architects.
Originally, on the site of the basilica in the 18th century stood a theater known for its animal fights. But in 1838 a huge flood devastated the city, which became known as the Great Flood of Budapest. The square where the basilica stands today rose from the plain of Budapest and provided refuge for hundreds of people during the disaster. The survivors saw their fate as a miracle of God and decided to build a church at the place of their survival. However, it took several years before construction actually began.
The construction of the basilica finally began in 1851 under the supervision of József Hild. Later, the renowned architect Miklós Ybl took over and replaced the earlier classical style with neo-Renaissance concepts. Ybl was one of the most famous Hungarian architects of his time and also designed the State Opera House and the building of the Burggarten Bazaar. Work on the basilica was finally completed in 1905 by József Kauser.
During World War II, the basilica served as a refuge for many refugees and also protected the valuable collection of the Hungarian National Archives from bombing in the basement of the massive building. However, the church, like much of the city, was badly damaged and required extensive renovation. In 1983, the city government finally decided to completely renovate the basilica, and the work continued until August 2003.
The Esztergom Basilica is not only an impressive architectural masterpiece, but also the largest and highest-ranking church in the country. As the cathedral of the Primate of the country, it has a special significance for Hungary. Already in the first decade of our statehood, Stephen I, the Holy King, endowed the first church at this place. The Castle Hill of Esztergom has always played an important role in Hungarian history since the founding of the state and maintained its significance despite the turbulence and challenges of the times. With its picturesque location above the Danube bend and the natural beauty marked by the surrounding mountains, the place was both easily accessible and isolated, easily defensible and at the same time attractive and relaxing.
So it is not surprising that the castle hill of Esztergom became first the seat of the Hungarian kings and later the most important center of the Hungarian Catholic Church. The Basilica of Esztergom stands as an impressive symbol of Hungary's faith, history and beauty, attracting visitors from all over the world.

As I have been editing my image this morning, I've been listening to and viewing the live testimony of Christine Blasey Ford. It has been painful to watch her recall her experiences and I hope that her testimony will make a difference. Who are the people who would attack her and make death threats? There are many men in places of power and authority who have taken advantage of women and no one has ever dared stand up and speak out against them or if they have they are doubted or silenced. It is important to keep being brave and standing up and speaking out. Months ago I remember speaking to my cousins about the #metoo movement and none of them had ever had anything happen to them and were shocked about how many women were then coming out with their stories. It's funny how everyone's experiences are different but I was not surprised because I am no stranger to issues and know many others who also have painful pasts.
Be brave, speak the truth, the times seem to slowly be changing and maybe your voices will be heard.
When I come to places like this I am struck by the testimony of creation. It brings praise to its Maker and it begs for our gaze to be set heavenward with our eyes fixed on Jesus the One who made it all. What leaves me awestruck is that this is only a mere glimpse of the beauty we will one day see!

The work “Spinoza-Car” is the work of a fan of the philosopher Spinoza. There are two different kinds of elements in the “Spinoza-Car”: I call them the ‘spiritual’ ones and the ‘profanes’ ones. The ‘spiritual’ ones are all the commonly-used inscriptions and testimonies of love made of cardboard, books and other objects, and the ‘profane’ ones are all the drinking glasses taped to the car.
Christian Testimonies | I See the Path to Knowing God
……
After reading this passage I thought: No wonder Peter could have knowledge of God! Turns out it was because he lived alongside the Lord Jesus day and night, he personally witnessed the Lord Jesus’ every word and every move, and from that he discovered much of God’s adorableness, and so he achieved knowledge of God. Now is also the era of when God becomes flesh to personally descend upon the world of man to work. If I could also have the fortune of being able to come into contact with God and spend time together like Peter had, then wouldn’t I also know God better? Oh! It’s a shame that now I can only read God’s word but cannot see the face of Christ. Then how would I be able to gain true knowledge of God?

Vernazza is a town and comune located in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northwestern Italy. It is one of the five towns that make up the Cinque Terre region. Vernazza is the fourth town heading north, has no car traffic, and remains one of the truest "fishing villages" on the Italian Riviera.
Vernazza's name is derived from the Latin adjective verna meaning "native" and the aptly named indigenous wine, vernaccia ("local" or "ours"), helped give birth to the village's moniker.
In 1997, the Cinque Terre was recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and in 1999 the National Park of the Cinque Terre was created. Today the main source of revenue for Vernazza is tourism. However, as a testimony to the strength of centuries-old tradition, fishing, wine and olive oil production still continue.

Christian Han Lu was monitored and tracked by the CCP police officers, which led to her capture. The police officers have brutally tortured her, and they have also used rumors to try to brainwash her, used her family to try and coerce her, and other despicable methods to try to threaten her in an attempt to compel her to deny God and betray God. However, under the guidance of the word of God, Han Lu has made it through many interrogations under torture and has powerfully refuted the various rumors and fallacies of the CCP with truth. Within the bitter environment of the CCP's persecution, a beautiful and resounding testimony has been made …
The half-timbered posts of the simple building extend all the way to the roof and are thus a testimony to this very old type of half-timbered construction.

The town of Blankenburg (Harz), founded around 1200, is situated close to the northern edge of the Harz mountains at an altitude of about 234 metres. The Dukes of Brunswick-Luneburg made the town a secondary residence in the 17th century, which had its heyday (1690-1731) under Duke Ludwig Rudolf. Rudolf received Blankenburg as a paragium in 1707. At the same time the county of Blankenburg was raised to an imperial principality and ruled independently until 1731, when it was reunited with Brunswick by Ludwig Rudolf. The princely promotion of mining and metallurgy also gave the town an economic upswing. Under Ludwig Rudolf many representative buildings and facilities were built.

The Speicherstadt, literally: 'City of Warehouses', meaning warehouse district in Hamburg, Germany, is the largest warehouse district in the world where the buildings stand on timber-pile foundations, oak logs, in this particular case. It is located in the port of Hamburg—within the HafenCity quarter—and was built from 1883 to 1927.
The district was built as a free zone to transfer goods without paying customs. The customs border between the city and the Speicherstadt existed until 2003. The district and the surrounding area have been under redevelopment for many years as the port industry has evolved. As an exceptional example of Gothic Revival and modernist architecture, and for its testimony to the development of international maritime trade, the Speicherstadt was awarded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site on 5 July 2015, along with the Kontorhaus District. Since 2008, it has been part of the HafenCity quarter. In an attempt to revitalize the inner city area, the Hamburg government initiated the development of the HafenCity (Port City) area, for example with the construction of the Elbe Philharmonic Hall on top of an old warehouse.
