This image is dedicated to my steadfast friend, Nadia Toski (ShakyGirl) who honoured me with a testimonial, and lots lots of comments and insights. Thank you!

I really love this shot because its beauty hides something decadent and ugly (the hidden part of this flower was without petals and with others completely rotten) ... photography can modify reality or let you see only what you intend to show and this is a fascinating aspect for me.
I dedicate it to Arianna for her testimonial, what she thinks makes me really happy!

I admire both your photostreams so really appreciate it.
"It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something. "
{ From the opening scene of the 2004 movie "Crash" }
Of the five senses, perhaps none is more exquisite than our sense of touch. It is the first to develop and the last to leave us. While sight and hearing are undoubtedly our most fundamental necessities, it is our unique ability to reach out – to affect others through time and space – that truly separate us. It gives us grace and defines our humanity. This week, I am deeply moved by the testimonials of Sarah and Rachel. Thank you both. I am humbled by your kind words. As the holiday season is upon us, let us not forget this simple act of love and kindness.
Have a wonderful weekend with your camera.

Hmm. Flickr is totally messing up the colors. :s

Alright alright, I thought I'd share the original via an external link but that does the same! Waah? What is this?

This is a thank you for theshutterbugeye who wrote me a lovely testimonial!
www.flickr.com/photos/theshutterbugeye/
Thank you so much!!
This image was so tricky!! I used theshutterbugeye's stream to inspire me for this one but also put my own personal style into it.
theshutterbugeye has taken some really cool photos of buildings lately, halloween inspired pics and is quite the expert at using textures. So I thought I would use those three elements as my inspiration... buildings, halloween and textures!!
I had taken this photo of a very old building on a university campus at Parramatta, Sydney quite a while ago.
I also had a intricate spider web photo which I also had never used so I used that as my texture.
Hope this has turned out ok, I don't do much texture work!
I just took this one yesterday. The day was damn nice... :). As summer is coming, day becomes longer... and i have to wait until 11pm... still the sky was a bit bright.. huh.

Straight after the Muriwai Sunset shoot we jumped into the car and drove down to the Coromandel Peninsula. We then got up well early and did a bit of a "suck it and see" photo mission - fortunately the tide was in a reasonable amount and there was an interesting sky as went across the Tairua Bridge - quick pull over and rapid fire of pics of this inlet overlooking Tairua and Pauanui. I had some shots with deeper reds \ yellows etc but the cloud just worked better form wise later in the sunrise.
Big thanks to Ania for her testimonial, wonderful pictures you have Ania

Felt a little down yesterday when I looked at my profile and noticed a person who wrote a testimonial for me had deleted her account.
Wouldn't think it would have affected me that much but it really got me thinking all night about it...and how its so...sudden. I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye.
Please. Make sure you leave me a message to tell me if you leave. At least there is some closure.
Thank you so much KatieOak www.flickr.com/photos/katieoak/
