The real cat in this picture is Allie, testing out the cat beds we have for sale at the Pet Pride cat shelter. Allie is 6 years old and has been with us since she was a kitten. Allie just does not get along with cats or people and has occasional wild spells so we just have let her go her own way.

Maybe she is trying soak up some of the idyllic fantasy charm of the kittens in the picture. The picture was donated to the shelter by a local artist when it opened.

This was taken with my new old 70 - 300 AF Nikkor lens with the revived Nikon D70 that was thrown on as an end-cap when I bought it from our pawn shop down the street. My D60 has a higher resolution, but this one has features on it that I'm really loving.

I have had this box laying around for at least 25 years. The original holes were covered with screws or a large glass lens.

Ran into a batch of ShiftBrite cables with a few bad ones. I needed to test all of them so I made a simple tester. It just runs a single circuit through all the wires in the cable and lights an LED. I made it in a few minutes and tested about 300 cables in 30 minutes.

I wanted to try my hand at making one before I sent out the fabric for my Bee Modern month and this was the result. These go together so quickly!

I wanted to give as much character to the piece as possible, so I found some old school papers ( 30 years old) that had the right color. Laser printed with the information and cut to size.

The PCB was done very fast and needed a lot of patching. The circuit evolved with the construction - a transistor to control the LED's that are now inside the old panel lights.
