Despite many requests from interested customers for a Testarossa Spider, Ferrari refused to produce the car as a regular production variant of the Testarossa on the grounds of spatial and structural challenges that would be difficult to resolve, and so Pininfarina and some after market firms such as Straman, Pavesi, Lorentz and Rankl and Koenig Specials offered unofficial Spider conversions on special consumer requests.
Ferrari Testarossa bundle:
- Ishida's Testa from Wangan Midnight / 281 pcs.
- Sonny Crockett's Testa from Miami Vice / 244 pcs.
- Testarossa in red / 247 pcs.
I've already built the 'Devil-Z' Nissan and the 'Blackbird' Porsche from Wangan Midnight and I wanted to expand the selection with Ishida's unique Testarossa.
That was the base motivation of this build, but during the process I changed the concept a bit. It was easy and obvious to convert Ishida's Testa into stock version, so I made the instructions also for a white one from Miami Vice and a red one because a Ferrari is most authentic in that color.

The Ferrari Testarossa (Type F110) is a 12-cylinder mid-engine sports car manufactured by Ferrari, which went into production in 1984 as the successor to the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer. ... Including revised variations, almost 10,000 cars in total were produced, making it one of the most mass-produced Ferrari models.

Hello everyone, here is my latest creation, it was sitting on my shelf for a while but I didn't have the time to take the photos and post it, finally its here... Actually i do built both versions of the Testarosa, the 80s one and the 512 RT version, to be honest I am not fully satisfied with the yellow one, I liked the red one more, also this model includes a lot of details , techniques and functional elements with removable body elements and a convertible version, so please make sure to check out the YouTube video for a closer look. Thanks for visiting my page everyone, hope you like my work.
At the Caffeine & Carburetors April 2015 Meet in New Canaan, Connecticut.
While everyone is at Monterey Car Week, I want to try to make a little Car Week of my own featuring some of the best cars I've seen over the years.
When it comes to Ferraris, I honestly think FLY Yellow is the best color for them... or any other color besides red...

Luckily a friend of our family has a couple of nice cars and was eager to have them photographed by me. This is the one I chose first. Isn't that a sweet ride?
It's also the first car I did all by myself, without any assistance. As assistance of course is great, take your time, do it by yourself and you'll see that you'll learn so much from it. That's what I did and I really gained some grat new insights and technique. Great!
I have wider shot, i.e. Panorama, of it too. I'll put it up tomorrow and would love to know which one you prefer.

As usual I didn't use any flash but a light tube to illuminate the car. Have a look at this image www.flickr.com/photos/uheartme/10489754254/ to see how I do these.
