Anthotype coating test sheet
Dye is canned beets, diluted in whatever comes with canned beets. Supposedly just salt and water. The mixture was dripped through a coffee filter to remove debris. Alcohol was added to increase dilution.

I have just bought a Tamron SP500mm mirror lens, been fancying a long lens for a while but didn't want to spend big bucks or have a huge lens so looked at mirror lens. After some research most of the cheap no name versions looked rubbish & the Tamron consistently the best. After these 2 test shots I am quite pleased. Focusing is tricky and my few attempts at hand held were terrible but tripod mounted I think its pretty good.
Located in the Dresden Heide. A rather small forest in the north of Dresden. Commonly used for walking dogs, recreation, walking, enjoying nature, bird watching. It is almost sourrounded by the city and therefore a "big park".

About two weeks ago i got a Nikon Tilt Shift lens to testing at the newest skateboard pool... not easy to use in action photography!
A quick shot with my new camera. Just testing and getting to know it. I took it when the camera arrived but had to wait for a new card reader and then Christmas got in the way. The flash has caught her eyes a little bit but it was only the pop up so not too bad. This will be a big change from my little D60, a huge amount to learn.
testing and getting used to the Sony RX100 in preparation for the vacations trip, so shooting to whatever I find on my way :-).. these are my classic Persol sunglasses… love them as much as I love the new camera :-P
Visit one of Oregon's most beautiful rivers. Renowned for outstanding salmon and steelhead fishing and exhilarating whitewater challenges, the North Umpqua River offers an ideal setting for many recreational pursuits. The North Umpqua provides the right challenge for all types of rafters and kayakers, from placid Class I waters to roaring Class IV rapids.
The best months to raft are May, June, and early July. Later in the summer as the water flows decrease, boaters test their rock-maneuvering skills as the rapids become more technical. Almost 34 miles of the North Umpqua have been designated as a Wild and Scenic River and this section has been set aside exclusively for fly-fishing. The 79-mile-long North Umpqua Trail parallels the river and offers visitors challenging hiking and mountain biking experiences.

A test of the EOS M with 22mm f/2 lens (not pictued) I bought at a low price. It isn't perfect, but it is hard to beat without paying three times as much.
I combined several exposures to make this image to go through all the regular processing I do. As a result, it is a good test for the lens, although I did correct for chromatic aberration, but not a good test for the camera.
The FLM Centerball ballhead in the picture has been great for macro photography. While I lock the sphere in place, it doesn't move unless it is very lose and I don't support the camera. This means I don't have to make several attempts to compose the image because the ballhead keeps pointing the camera somewhere I didn't.

Federal HST 230gr +P, performed perfectly, full expansion (.59) and 99% weight retention.
Hornady Critical Duty 220gr , Performed Perfectly, full expansion (.61) and 99% weight retention.
Winchester Ranger 230gr, Once again perfect performance, Expansion to (.52) 98% weight retention.

Speer Gold Dot 230gr, This round hit the shoulder bone center and square, the wound channel was massive and shattered the beef leg bone, and the bullet disintegrated and did not exit soft tissue, recovered weight from the three largest pieces totaled 192.3gr,so the weight retention was still very good, as far as my personal opinion this is still a great carry round for the .45ACP platform.
My choice is still the Federal HST and the Hornady Critical Duty as my carry ammo.
